DEPARTMENT: Solid Waste Services (SWS)
HOURS OF WORK: Hours Vary; Monday through Saturday between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
LOCATION: Central Transfer Station: 1111 East 56th Avenue and Anchorage Regional Landfill: 15500 East Eagle River Loop Road
This is Seasonal Full-Time position and will last approximately six (6) months after the date of hire.
Example of Duties
Perform traffic control at the Central Transfer Station and/or Anchorage Regional Landfill. Guide vehicles leaving the scales from backing onto the tipping floor and blocking equipment movement. Provide grounds maintenance such as litter cleanup and light facility maintenance at both the Central Transfer Station and Anchorage Regional Landfill. Perform other related duties as assigned.
