The General Manager of Engineering Services provides tactical leadership, direction, implementation and maintenance of controls for Peak Utilities Services Group and Subsidiaries's Utility Locating and Hydro Excavation departments. This position is accountable for attaining organizational goals and objectives, deploying and implementing corporate policies.

Establish and maintain excellent customer relationships with all clients and Peak Utilities Services Group and Subsidiaries personnel. Manage the Engineering Division and maintain profit margins and division goals as established by senior management. Responsible for ensuring that the safety, quality, training and standards of the company and each individual client are met.
Develop and nurture customer relationships. Direct, motivate and mentor teams of engineers, designers and drafters. Develop and maintain divisional budget.
Ensure compliance with numerous federal, state and local laws, regulations codes and ordinances, e.g. Operator Qualifications, Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Public Utilities Commission (PUC), and, to include in Operational Qualification (OQ) performance evaluations. Direct, motivate and mentor teams of engineers, designers and drafters.
Administer compliance of procedures and reporting for the effective management of material inventory. Support the accuracy of data in tracking systems including location of material, quantity on hand, value, and similar. Manage quality of services provided to protect Peak Utilities Services Group and Subsidiaries interests.
Deliver continuous improvement in productivity, safety, quality and cost. Negotiate project bids, estimate project costs. Attend bid and/or design meetings.
Ensure that all deliverables meet the highest quality standards. Review project designs to ensure that they achieve internal and external client expectations. Attend management, pre-construction, client or site meetings as necessary.
Assist in damage prevention efforts, public/contractor awareness and training. Assist in training subordinates as necessary, to assure compliance with the Operator Qualification (OQ) program, work flow processes, and time management of direct reports. Communicate daily with Superintendent to assist and resolve work related issues. Prepare various clear and concise written reports and forms including: vehicle mileage reports, daily time sheets and work completed documents.

Supervisory Duties (if any) Provides leadership for a staff of approximately 4-6 Technicians, 8-16 within the Meridian area and multiple geographicservice area.
Experience: Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Engineering or closely related field.
Professional Engineer License (Preferred) Three to Five or more (3-5+) years of Management experience required. Five to Ten or more (5-10+) years of commercial construction experience required. Three to Five (3-5) years of customer relations experience required.
Engineering design management. Well-Developed leadership skills and the ability to work well with others at all levels of the organization. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, along with a strong client service orientation.Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications:
