About the Job:
Ambulnz by DocGo is looking for a high-performing General Manager to provide operational oversight of our EMS Transport division. Direct functional responsibilities include management of the revenue generation, P&L performance, employee retention, client relationship management, project management, business development, market intelligence, and customer strategy. This position requires a tenacious, hands-on, self-motivated, smart, and emotionally intelligent individual who thrives in a fast-moving, dynamic environment within a complex and fast-changing industry. Being effective in this role requires a natural aptitude for building strong, trusting partnerships both internally and externally.
Responsibilities:
Full accountability and ownership over the market's approved budget, including Revenue, EBITDA and cash collections
Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers
Always serve as a role model for professionalism in both appearance and demeanor
Promote and maintain a culture of trust and teamwork with the entire operational team
Responsible for market P &L
Oversee Operations Director(s)
Serve as a point of contact for members of the operational team
Possess a thorough understanding of the service area, current services, and contracted facilities
Serve as a liaison between the field operations and the Communication Center
Mentor employees, conduct performance evaluations when applicable, counsel and provide disciplinary actions to assigned personnel with a goal of developing a team-oriented approach with positive results
Demonstrate a high degree of familiarity with local, regional and state regulations that pertain to EMS
Collaborate effectively with management, Communication Center, and Fleet Department to ensure efficient daily operations
Demonstrate a high degree of familiarity and compliance with all internal and customer policies and procedures related to daily operations
Review data, reports and statistical information, analyze trends and render recommendations pertinent to operational effectiveness
Comply with all employment laws and support affirmative action/equal opportunity and diversity goals
Act as a resource for all field employees
Perform all other related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare or appropriate field of study or equivalent experience preferred
Minimum of four years in general supervisory experience
Minimum of six years emergency medical operations experience
Driving record in compliance with company policy regarding insurability
Current valid EMT or Paramedic Certification, as well as all other licenses and certification required by field personnel
