Requirements:

The General Manager is responsible for running a profitable restaurant and for making sure the restaurant meets McDonald's critical customer standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. These standards are high, so this is a big job! The General Manager works with his/her leader to set the restaurant's goals and creates a plan to achieve the goals.

To meet restaurant goals, the General Manager doesn't work alone. He or she leads a team of Department Managers that has specific responsibilities in the restaurant.

This means helping the Department Managers to set their own goals, following up on their progress, and providing coaching and direction to improve their Departments. By improving the Departments, the restaurant improves!

The General Manager may also be responsible for hiring and developing Department and Shift Managers to make sure that the restaurant has the right team to lead into the future.

Ideal candidates should have previous General Manager experience running high volume locations. A background in quick service restaurants is strongly desired, or experience in hospitality or retail. You must be 18 years or older to be a manager in our corporate owned and operated restaurants.

Leads the drive-in employees in order to provide quality food in a clean, safe and efficient manner so that guests will have an enjoyable experience at the Sonic Drive-In.\n\n ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: \n1.\tManages, trains and coaches drive-in employees, management and conducts orientation.\n2.\tDirects and assigns drive-in employees and management to perform all duties in the Basic Stations (Fountain & Frozen, Dresser, Front Swamp, Back Swamp, Grill, Switchboard, Expeditor, Food Prep, Carhop, Skating Carhop and if applicable Drive-Thru) as needed and depending on store volume, during a shift to ensure the preparation (portion control), temperature, packaging, appearance, presentation, taste and service of all menu items meet operational standards.\n3.\tAdheres to and monitors employee compliance of the drive-in employee handbook, policies and practices. Takes appropriate action to address employee issues and policy violations and immediately reports all employee issues, complaints and policy violations to his/her immediate supervisor.\n4.\tPerforms opening and/or closing duties to standard.\n5.\tMonitors and makes appropriate adjustments to staffing levels during assigned shift. \n6.\tPrepares employee work schedules in a timely manner to ensure continuous ability to properly serve guests in accordance with Sonic Drive-In policy and applicable law.\n7.\tMonitors and maintains inventory levels to ensure product availability and portion control. Places orders for food, paper and other supplies within cost control procedures.\n8.\tMonitors performance of vendors.\n9.\tCompletes and maintains all drive-in employment-related records and payroll records.\n10.\tReinforces the importance of placing guests' needs first to drive-in employees on a consistent basis.\n11.\tImmediately resolves guest requests and complaints in a respectful manner. \n12.\tRecruits, interviews and hires crew and management team members to achieve proper staffing levels.\n13.\tDetermines compensation levels of drive-in employees within company guidelines.\n14.\tPrepares all necessary operational reports.
