General Manager - Hampton Inn Neptune

The Hampton Inn Neptune/Wall is hiring a General Manager!

Job Summary:

The General Manager at Hampton Inn Neptune will lead the efficient operation of the hotel facility (109 rooms). They will be responsible for hiring and training a qualified staff to maximize sales and profits while ensuring high guest satisfaction. The General Manager will uphold hotel policies and procedures, maintain competitive standards, achieve budget goals, and foster high employee morale.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and participate in hotel operations to meet sales and profit targets

• Interact with guests, potential guests, and community leaders

• Maintain ethical standards and quality of services

• Maintain a safe and efficient Food and Beverage Department

• Ensure quality standards for cleanliness, function room set up, maintenance, service, and employee performance

• Select and train department heads, delegate responsibilities, and ensure performance standards are met

• Conduct and direct internal meetings on sales, forecasting, quality control, and safety

• Prepare reports in a timely manner and strategize for improvement

• Analyze staffing needs, performance and payroll, taking corrective action as needed

Qualifications: (This is not an entry level position, hotel experience required)

• Combination of two years in a hotel Assistant General Manager and/or General Manager role required.

• High School diploma or equivalent; two-year business degree, four-year business or liberal arts degree preferred; or a combination of education and experience in hotel management

• Certified Hospitality Administrator designation preferred
