As a part of our General Manager Development Program, you'll launch your career at C&S Wholesale Grocers, the largest wholesale grocery supply company in the country. The program offers executive exposure and a guided career path to driven young professionals.
Through hands-on career development and learning, you will experience C&S at many levels. You will be exposed to various processes and roles throughout the organization, and will be looked to for analytical insights and suggestions for innovative changes that impact operations and influence the future. You will engage with peers, mentors and managers to develop your professional network and establish your personal brand, and experience.
The program consists of a three-week orientation followed by targeted rotations through multiple business functions critical to your role as a future General Manager. Assignments will provide broad exposure to C&S, while also giving you an opportunity to tackle tough issues and add immediate value.
Upon successful completion of this GM Development Program, you will be placed within a General Manager role in one of our multiple distribution centers across the country. During the General Manager Leadership Development program, you:
Build your career credentials as you rotate through multiple business functions critical to your role as a future General Manager
Learn leadership skills through hands-on work as you interact across various departments, facilities, and locations

Work on challenging and stimulating projects and tasks that directly impact C&S and our strategic growth plan
Network with C&S leadership and other young professionals
Make a difference in the local community through company-sponsored service initiatives
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Transportation, Logistics, Operations or a related field (3.0 GPA or higher preferred)
Must be an upcoming graduate or have graduated within last three years
Strong organizational, interpersonal and written, and verbal communication abilities
Ability to handle multiple projects and changing responsibilities
Problem analysis, decision making and analytical capabilities
Eagerness to learn and accept challenges
Ability to think independently and creatively while working well with others
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
The GM Development Program offers possible rotations across the country. Your rotation assignments may include Jacksonville, FL; Hatfield, MA; Newburgh,NY; Bethlehem, PA; York, PA; and Mauldin, SC.
