Who are we looking for?

If you are a transformational leader that supports, motivates, and inspires your employees to achieve their objectives, and you have ten or more years of proven experience in construction equipment sales and rental services, or related field, and five or more years' experience in a leadership role required, we want to meet you.

What can you expect?

As the General Manager, you are responsible for the business activities and strategic direction of Yukon Equipment, specifically developing a business plan to execute growth strategies and direct oversight of sales, financial and budget processes, general administration, and business operations. You are accountable for meeting approved goals and objectives such as corporate growth, business development, and financial benchmarks. Additionally, in this position you will communicate and collaborate with other holding line subsidiary companies to maximize opportunities and minimize risks.

How will you do it?

  • Develop overall strategic direction and vision to guide organizational planning to advance the company's mission and objectives in support of the holding line and corporate goals.

  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct, and evaluate the organization's performance promoting profitability and growth including staffing and resource management.

  • Develop and implement annual sales and expense plans; ensure plans are clearly communicated and managers are held accountable for departmental goals.

  • Market company's capabilities, experience, and performance in business portfolio.

  • Pursue untapped opportunities to secure new business; maintain relationships with existing clients.

  • Stay abreast of business trends and best practices; cultivate professional contacts in the community to increase revenues and corporate visibility/brand recognition.

  • Research and select quality and financially sound/profitable partnerships with vendors/clients.

  • Direct and manage the company's day-to-day division and departmental functions.

  • Identify financial, material, and human capital needs.

  • Provide employee training, mentoring, accountability, and direction.

  • Support policies and procedures of the organization to enhance overall operation and effectiveness with safety as a primary focus.

  • Develop organization structure that ensures involvement of all employees towards collaborative execution and clearly defines roles and responsibilities of the team.

  • Identify and manage conflicts and create a high-performance team environment where diversity is valued, and people are treated with respect and dignity.

  • Oversee sales department and promote rental generation using CRM tools. Promote selling and motivating tactics.

  • Manage Fleet resources to include inventory control, purchasing and maintenance

  • Oversee management of the parts department and inventory.

  • Oversee management of the Equipment Service department and Shop Management.

  • Collaborate with various groups within Calista, Calista Brice, and multiple client organizations.

  • Familiarity with AK Construction Industry and Alaska Economics

  • Understanding of dealer incentives and warranty

  • Understanding of Equipment financing and deal composition

  • Understanding of Business Cycle and corresponding Financial Statements

Who is Yukon Equipment looking for?

Minimum Qualifications:

  • HS diploma or equivalent required.

  • Ten or more years of proven experience in construction equipment sales and rental services, or related field required.

  • Five or more years' experience in a leadership role required.

  • Valid state driver's license and be qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of Calista Brice, LLC Driving Policy.

  • Ability to pass a drug and background screening.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Business Management or related degree program equivalent additional experience in equipment dealer management will be considered.
