General Manager

We are looking for a General Manager who will be responsible for launching and managing all of our micromobility related operations in the U.S.

You'll be responsible for setting the overall strategy for the business and be accountable for P&L outcomes. You'll be responsible for managing strategic relationships with cities, licensing and tender processes, business and financial performance, operational excellence and continuously improving customer experience for e-scooter riders.

About the role

This is a role for a strong, analytical operator who will take ownership and effectively oversee day-to-day operations across the U.S. This pivotal role entails leading teams responsible for daily and quality operations, driver management, maintenance overview and coordination to attain predefined objectives, ensuring not only goal attainment but also maintaining a robust, healthy and available fleet.

Your daily adventures will include:

• P&L Ownership: Demonstrating accountability to revenue and profitability across the country. You will be responsible for growing rides, revenue, and profits in a highly competitive space

• Vision: Defining and implementing the mission and strategy for the local micromobility business - from a growth, profitability, and customer experience perspective

• Customer Experience: Owning the customer experience in your markets. Identifying and fixing customer experience issues that impact our customers and cities

• Competitive Landscape: Understanding the competitive micromobility landscape, and identifying & resolving competitive gaps

• Leadership: Building, developing, and leading a team of passionate people toward shaping the future of the local Rentals business. Leading by example and establishing an inclusive and successful team culture

• Process Improvement: Finding ways to do things better and making existing processes more efficient and automated, including standardizing and centralizing processes and working with Product/Engineering and support functions to systematize our needs

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working cross-functionally with Ops, Policy, Legal, Product, and other teams to address unique challenges and opportunities in your market. Navigating regulatory challenges that impact our constantly-evolving business

• Problem solving: Working with local, regional and global teams to resolve critical problems impacting the business and ensuring that insights advise broader critical initiatives

About you:

• 8+ years of experience in highly analytical and fast-paced environments

• 3+ years of experience building, developing and managing high-performing teams

• You are a hustler, not stopping after several obstacles a day

• P&L ownership experience is preferred but not required

• Data-driven decision mentality and sound business judgment via strong analytical thinking

• Solid track record of building and performing in a highly cross functional environment

• Extremely proactive, self starter mentality with strong organizational skills

• Strong communication skills. You are a clear and concise communicator with the ability to synthesize a lot of information quickly, highlight the important points, and disseminate concrete insights

• Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment that is constantly evolving
