General Manager (GM)DescriptionThe General Manager (GM) of AutoPak Engineering Corp. will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the affiliate’s operations, driving business growth, and ensuring the affiliate meets its financial and operational goals. The GM will lead a cross-functional team, manage relationships with key stakeholders, and ensure the affiliate aligns with the strategic objectives of the parent company while responding effectively to local market demands.In addition, the GM will play a pivotal role providing strategic leadership, ensure operational excellence and lead the organization in navigating the complex landscape of compliance in the life-science industry, fostering a culture of innovation and integrity. Responsibilities
  1. Leadership & Strategy
    1. Develop and implement the affiliate’s strategic business plan in alignment with the overall corporate strategy of Ultimate Solutions Corp. group of companies located in Puerto Rico, Ohio, US and Madrid, Spain.
    2. Provide visionary leadership to drive the affiliate’s growth, profitability, and market presence.
    3. Act as the face of the affiliate, representing it in dealings with external stakeholders, including customers, partners, and government agencies.
    4. Stay informed about technological advancements to streamline Life-Sciences automated products manufacturing through the implementation of digital transformation technologies and assess their potential impact on the business. 
    5. Develop and articulate a clear vision and strategic direction for the company, aligning it with the Life-Sciences industry trends and market demands.
    6. Stay abreast of regulatory changes, industry standards, and best practices to ensure the company's compliance services remain current and effective.
    7. Drive innovation and leverage technology to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
  2. Financial Performance:
    1. Develop, manage, and be accountable for the affiliate’s P&L, budget, and financial performance providing transparent and accurate information to stakeholders.
    2. Drive revenue growth while managing costs to ensure profitability.
    3. Regularly report financial and operational performance to the regional or corporate headquarters.
    4. Drive financial performance by setting and achieving revenue targets, managing costs, and ensuring the firm's financial health.
  3. Market Development & Sales:
    1. Lead market analysis efforts to identify growth opportunities and expand the affiliate's market share.
    2. Oversee the development and launch of new products or services tailored to the needs of the local market.
    3. Oversee the development and execution of sales and marketing strategies to achieve revenue targets.
    4. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners to drive sales and business development.
    5. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality compliance solutions.
    6. Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, addressing concerns and proactively identifying opportunities for service enhancement.
    7. Identify, negotiate, and manage strategic partnerships, alliances, and joint ventures to drive growth.
    8. Maintain and expand relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, industry partners, and government agencies.
    9. Serve as the primary liaison between AutoPak and potential business partners.
  4. Operational Management:
    1. Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring the affiliate runs efficiently and effectively.
    2. Ensure all departments (sales, marketing, operations, finance, HR, etc.) work cohesively to achieve business objectives.
    3. Implement best practices, processes, and systems to enhance productivity and operational efficiency.
    4. Oversee the development and implementation of compliance programs, policies, and procedures to meet legal and regulatory requirements.
    5. Recruit, lead, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture.
    6. Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, promoting professional growth and ensuring alignment with company values.
    7. Implement effective risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks to the business.
Required Skills
  • 20+ years of experience in business development, strategic planning, or related roles within a multinational or fast-growing company.
  • Proven track record of successfully driving business growth through strategic partnerships, market expansion, and new business initiatives.
  • Strong on negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Life-Science market in the US, including trends, competitors, and regulatory environment.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
  • Leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Ability to compose memos, outlines, graphical reports and robust presentations to orally communicate technical information.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically, with a strong focus on results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a diverse team.
  • Good problem solver.
  • Organized oriented.
  • Attention to details.
  • Willing to work in different shifts,overtime including weekends depending on the nature of work available. 
  • Able to work with minimum or no supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork oriented.
  • Fully Bilingual- Oral and written (English and Spanish).
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Master's or MBA preferred).
  • Mechanical and electrical design experience of complex automated end of line packaging systems is a plus.
