Unit Description

Sodexo University segment is seeking a experienced General Manager 5 for our prestiges account at North Carolina A&T State University, in Greensboro, North Carolina. NC A&T State University is the largest HBCU in the nation. With an enrollment of just over 12,000 student North Carolina A&T State University continues to grow, both academically and from a foodservice perspective. Sodexo-Aggie Dining manages all National, proprietary and in-house brands and dining concepts with 2 main dining facilities as well as a full service catering department. This General Manager will have oversight of 15 salaried Managers and an hourly team of 385+ members. The General Manager will be highly involved in succession planning, financial management, team development, marketing programming, Corporate initiative implementation/oversight as well as high levels of client engagement.

  • develop and maintain client and customer relationships;
  • develop strategic plans;

The ideal candidate:

  • has a work history demonstrating strong leadership skills, as well as previous leadership experience and the ability to work collaboratively;

  • has culinary production experience and a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance;

  • has the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;

  • can demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed

Position Summary

Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.Provides local leadership and strategic direction while developing team for new and emerging business solutions that sustain growth in the day to day operations.
