Job #75705 - Sodexo is seeking a General Manager (IV) of Dining Services for Carlyle Place located in Macon, GA. This is an upscale 280 Resident Continuing Care Retirement Community; on 58 beautifully landscaped acres in northwest Macon, central Georgia, about 80 miles from Atlanta and a 3-and-a-half-hour drive from Savannah. Sodexo provides Five Star Dining Services, a Pub, and high volume, upscale catering services.

In this role, you report to the District Manager and oversee: 4 Sodexo Managers, 40 employees, P&L financials, food production kitchens, multiple dining venues, high volume catering services, the HACCP and safety programs, high-level oversight of Client & Sodexo systems & standards, and customer service enhancements through on-going program development.

Position requires strong leadership and executive level communication abilities and outstanding customer service skills for Resident and Client satisfaction. Position provides innovation and expertise with the drive and ability to secure resources to support ongoing growth at this account. Position drives excellence through short term and long- term goals and the successful candidate must be detailed oriented with the ability to handle multiple and competing priorities to exceed client expectations.

Position Summary

Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions.

Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations.

Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.Provides local leadership and strategic direction while developing team for new and emerging business solutions that sustain growth in the day to day operations.Key Duties- Directs all contract services.- Oversees management/administrative team who are responsible for special functions, cash control and payroll.- Customer and client satisfaction- Drives growth

The GM will effectively communicate and model the company vision and brand standards to all members of the management team and hourly team. Essential job functions: * Understand completely all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programs. * Ensure all guests receive great care and service – a Wow Experience. * Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant's recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards. * Guide team in achieving Cheddar's Key results by: * Hiring and developing a strong team member group * Creating a dynamic and fun culture * Maintain costs at budget or below using systems and accountability * Build sales through proper scheduling of team members to drive throughput and deliver a consistently great guest experience * Responsible for holding team accountable for all cash handling procedures and policies. * Make employment and termination decisions. * Prepare all required paperwork, including forms, reports and schedules in an organized and timely manner. * Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the restaurant's preventative maintenance programs. * Ensure all deliveries are received according to Cheddar' standards and procedures.
