Sodexo is seeking a Food General Manager 4 for our Corporate Services segment in Louisville, Kentucky. This manager will be responsible for oversight of the full dining program (totaling $2.6M in managed volume) at a corporate headquarters that offers breakfast, lunch, catering, micro-markets and vending to a campus population of 6000.
This General Manager will have total oversight of four separate locations on campus including three cafes and one commissary kitchen. Management responsibilities will also include the leadership and development of two Food Service Managers, an Executive Chef and a Catering Manager along with 30 Sodexo-paid, union frontline (hourly) employees.
Catering (which comprises 650K of the total managed volume) is a key deliverable and expectations are at a high premium for the customers and clients we serve. Services range from standard breakfast/lunch/coffee drop-offs to high-end, elegant functions and receptions.
The ideal candidate will need to be focused on food, marketing, retail standards and physical safety while managing a high-quality food program. Being detailed-oriented, well-organized, and having proven communication skills (written and verbal) along with possessing strong planning skills are critical to the success of the position.
While this is predominantly a Monday through Friday position with a typical 6:00 am start, some flexibility to work evenings and weekends will be needed.
