Sodexo has an exciting career opportunity for an experienced Food Services General Manager 4 to oversee the Food Service operations at Montana State University Billings a $2.4M campus account. MSUB has been an integral part of the Billings community and a student-centered learning environment since its early days as Eastern Montana College. Sodexo's program includes Resident Dining program serving approximately 550 students, three Retail Food Outlets and Catering. Candidates should be proficient in project management and managing through renovations/construction - the GM will lead several key new building initiatives that will enhance the student living experience.

The Ideal Candidate will:

  • Have previous Food operations management in a larger university setting or large volume sectors of Sodexo Healthcare, Sports and Leisure, or large corporate settings;

  • Have Project management experience and have managed through large construction and renovations.

  • Be proficient in use of online Food Management Systems for menu/recipe planning, ordering and inventory;

  • Demonstrate proven financial acumen/success: Food costs/ labor costs, budgets.

  • Be a people person with a strong focus with maintaining positive client relations; a solid manager/leader who is perceptive and has attention to details that make a difference quality and presentation of food customer service

  • Be a multi-tasker, organized, innovative and an effective leader who can motivate their staff. strong employee engagement through developing, mentoring, training and motivating encouraging staff to a high level of execution and pride/passion for what they do.

  • Be customer focused including providing excellent customer service in a welcoming dining environment.

Position Summary

Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.Provides local leadership and strategic direction while developing team for new and emerging business solutions that sustain growth in the day to day operations.Key Duties- Directs all contract services.- Oversees management/administrative team who are responsible for special functions, cash control and payroll.- Customer and client satisfaction- Drives growth

This includes responsibility for 2 to 3 direct report Base Directors/Managers and approximately 2000 flight attendants in a fast paced 24/7 operation. This position will report directly to the Director, IFS Field Operations - West Region and is based in Seattle, WA. Primary Functions: * Responsible for developing a vision and strategy to achieve IFS Field operations/performance metrics which includes but are not limited to Safety, Financial, Customer Satisfaction, Employee Satisfaction & Development and Productivity. * This includes responsibility for 2 to 3 direct report Base Directors/Managers and approximately 2000 flight attendants. * Engages flight attendant and IFS Leadership in process improvement and achievement of the Flight plan and other corporate goals. * Promote, prove and uphold the Delta culture through visible, servant leadership. * Proactively plans and solves operational regional and base issues. * Strategic and tactical planning, decision making, interpersonal relations and the ability to build coalitions between flight attendants and leadership are critical skills. * Develops, oversees, manages and reconciles regional operating plan along with regional resource allocation for staffing and facilities. * Requires successful partnering with IFS leadership and matrix IFS support groups. * Liaison in cross divisional meetings representing and speaking on behalf of IFS capturing and communicating concerns on behalf of flight attendant and IFS leadership while ensuring brand alignment. * Must ensure safety awareness and compliance throughout workplace. Qualifications: * Three to five years of experience in a leadership position effectively managing and developing leaders and driving for results. * College degree with a concentration in Management preferred. * Experience in dealing with a wide variety of operational and safety issues. * Possess strong written and oral communication skills and be able to produce strategic, concise documents and presentations for senior leaders. * Ability to think strategically and demonstrate sound decision making in a high pressure, time critical environment. * Ability to influence and drive change at all levels of the organization. * Ability to manage and execute multiple priorities in a timely manner. * Successful candidate will be a composed, approachable, and visible leader with the skill to build high performing teams through inclusion, consensus and creativity. * Must complete Flight Attendant Training and maintain qualifications through successful completion of Continuing Qualification (CQ) each year. * Must be proficient in use of standard Microsoft Office applications. * Travel required. * Must be performing satisfactorily in present position. #LI-KD1 Delta Air Lines, Inc.
