Sodexo Corporate Services is looking for an General Manager 3 to join our team at the National Shrine of the Basilica in Washington DC! This unit serves as a public space for visitors to the DC area, as well as for the on-site employees. The current food landscape consist of 1 corporate cafe and catering operations. Location is open seven days a week, with rotating weekends schedule after initial on-boarding period.
The General Manager 3 oversees a busy retail location serving tourists, local community and the Site Administration. The General Manager 3 for this account should have catering experience to serve client special event needs and be a motivated leader with creative retail solutions. Skill in Client Relationships, Catering Experience and an innovative approach to Retail are key in this exciting and challenging role.Other duties include but not limited to:
Catering coordination with client and execution of high end events
Overseeing day to day operation
Leading and development of the team of 1 salaried EC and 9 hourly employee
This position offers a traditional Business and Industry, predominantly Monday through Friday, schedule typically from 7am to 4pm, However there are some evenings and weekends where the General Manger 3 will have to work.. Accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation per year (first year pro-rated based on date of hire). Medical Benefits beginning date of hire, and 401K with company match eligible. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account
Provides local leadership and strategic direction while developing team for new and emerging business solutions that sustain growth in the day to day operations.Key Duties- Provides team leadership & training- Controls unit financials- Directs daily food operations for quality & safety standards- Supervises day to day activities
