Sodexo Senior Living is seeking a General Manager 2, Food to lead the dining operations Aldersly Retirement Community in San Rafael, CA. This community is home to over 100 residents, with ranging levels of care (Independent, Assisted Living, Rehabilitation, SNF). Aldersly is a boutique style community, boasting gardens with beautiful foliage all around the community. Here, creative expression is encouraged and a part of the Aldersly experience.
Strong culinary experience is required for success in the role. In addition to culinary experience, a Dietary Manager Certification (CDM) or equivalent is required.
The ideal candidate will be hands-on as needed, have excellent culinary and interpersonal skills, a passion for senior citizens; and experience managing and developing a cohesive team.
This position will manage a total staff of approximately 15 hourly employees. Responsibilities include: actively managing P&L financial statements, cost controls, customer service program implementation; and ensuring correct Sodexo branding initiatives are meant. Prior food service experience in a healthcare environment is desired. Maintaining strong customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account
