Sodexo Campus Dining has an opportunity for a General Manager 1 for the breathtaking campus at Colorado Mountain College (CMC) located in the community of Leadville, CO. RELOCATION ASSISTANCE IS AVAILABLE!

A campus surrounded by Colorado's highest peaks and all the adventure you could ask for. This is authentic Colorado featuring world class outdoor activities. This 2-year community college features a newer resident dining hall feeding around 75-100 students per meal, growing catering business and small retail operation. We enjoy a strong relationship with our clients at this long-term Sodexo contract.

Reporting to the off-site District Manager, the ideal GM candidate will possess:

  • Experience in a leadership capacity with experience in large volume food operations.

  • Proven decision-making background in a key leadership role.

  • Culinary understanding and the ability to be creative and think on your feet.

  • Previous experience with sustainability initiatives.

  • Experience in managing and developing teams.

  • Strong financial background.

  • Excellent client relationship skills; strong comfort interacting with all levels of the college administration.

Position Summary

Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account

Provides local leadership and strategic direction while developing team for new and emerging business solutions that sustain growth in the day to day operations.

Key Duties- Provides team leadership & training- Controls unit financials- Directs daily food operations for quality & safety standards- Supervises day to day activities

  • Delegates authority- Assigns & prioritizes activities- Monitors operating standards- Establishes a safe work environment- Support workplace inclusion activities

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement

  • Associate's Degree

Basic Management Experience

  • 2 years Basic Functional Experience

  • 2 years
