Industrial Maintenance Worker (2nd or 3rd shift)

As a General Industrial Maintenance Worker at Schebler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery and the efficient functioning of our building systems. Under general supervision from the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for performing routine preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking to start their career in industrial maintenance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform routine preventive maintenance to maintain the optimal performance of machinery.

• Execute simple machinist duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Utilize mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic skills to troubleshoot and repair production machines.

• Repair fork trucks when needed.

• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

• Conduct a variety of plumbing, maintenance, and carpentry functions as needed.

• Utilize a wide range of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment (MHE) to perform duties effectively.

• Identify faulty operations or defective materials and promptly report them to the appropriate supervision.

• Adhere to safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED; Associates Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance preferred.

• Experience: One year of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

• Ability to maintain clean and orderly work areas.
