This position is primarily responsible for overseeing the daily maintenance and cleanliness of the waterpark, resort pools, spas and spray features. Duties will include overseeing the balancing chemicals logs sheets that are required to keep the pool chemical levels within local County Department of Health's standards. This job will mainly intitle maintaining a preventive maintenance program on all the equipment along with trouble shooting problems and when needed do repairs or replacements of such. Must have extensive knowledge for the following equipment: Pumps, motors, chlorinators, controllers, plumbing and electrical.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS

  • Inspecting daily all the equipment and operating mechanics at every pool pump room and all water features.

  • Conduct a preventive maintenance program on all equipment with extensive records showing when equipment was installed or checked on an annual, bi-annual or quarterly schedule.

  • Oversee daily inspections reports of the pool log sheets and decks to include handrails, safety equipment, and pump rooms make necessary repairs.

  • Repair or replace any non-working equipment with updates to ongoing logs of such equipment.

  • Order chemicals and parts as needed while keeping manager in the loop to help oversee the departments budgets.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain an ongoing preventive maintenance program on all the equipment.

  • Maintain records of all preventive maintenance along with records of motor replacements and dates.

  • Make and oversee weekly work schedules of other employees.

  • Oversee any inspections that are done in house or outsourced and record.

  • Keep equipment in good working order with daily inspections.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Five years prior experience working in some form of pool maintenance required.

  • Electrical journeyman license preferred for the 3-phase electric on site.

  • Extensive knowledge of pumps and motors to replace impellors, seals or pump ends.

  • Extensive knowledge in all areas of plumbing for the repairing/rebuilding of plumbing pipes.

  • Must be able to multi-task and keep organized records.

  • Attention to detail a must.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • CPO certification is a must.

  • AFO certification a plus.

  • Electrical journeyman license a plus.

  • Pump and motor class a plus.

  • Valid Driver's License is a must.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver's license, and minimum of 1 years of driving experience.

  • Must meet company motor vehicle report requirements.

  • Ability to follow prescribed procedures and guidelines in accomplishing tasks as described above.

  • Ability to be self-directed.

  • Ability to be self-motivated.

  • Must be team oriented to accomplish goals.

  • Skill in attention to detail.

  • Must have ability to troubleshoot problems and repair all types of equipment.

  • Must be certified and licensed in the field of specialty.

  • Be knowledgeable in general maintenance and repair of buildings and equipment.

  • Must have skills in plumbing, electrical, and pool maintenance.

  • Must have a working knowledge of hand and power tools required to accomplish all phases of projects.

  • Must be able to troubleshoot and repair technically complex systems related to the specified field.
