General Maintenance Mechanic

Monument Chemical in Brandenburg, KY is seeking qualified candidates for the position of General Maintenance Mechanic. DUTIES The General Maintenance Mechanic will perform a wide variety of duties essential to the manufacture of chemical products while consistently adhering to all established safety and operating procedures.

This includes but is not limited to: Installation, mechanical repair, and preventative maintenance of rotating equipment, piping & valves which may include: pipe welding, brazing and/or heavy equipment operation. Write work orders and obtain needed parts and supplies within the computerized maintenance management system.

Assist in coordinating activities with other co-workers, supervisors, and operations personnel. Support and encourage a strong HSE and team environment. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum high school education and 3 years of journeyman-level maintenance experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment required or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Chemical manufacturing experience, apprenticeship and/or UA welding certification preferred. Must have a demonstrated ability to install, repair, and/or maintain rotating equipment, piping and/or valves. Pipefitting, welding & heavy equipment operation experience a plus.

Effective oral and written communication, math and basic computer skills required. SAP experience a plus.
