General Machinist - (Day Shift)

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Set-up and operation of conventional lathe and milling machines.

• Operate hoist to load and unload work pieces when necessary.

• Select holding methods and determine proper sequence of machining operation utilizing routing sheets, work drawings and/or verbal instructions.

• Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, verniers, indicators, etc. to compare work pieces to predetermined specifications.

• Ability to tear down and rework parts independently.

• Exercise judgment relative to quality and finish of work piece.

• Wear appropriate PPE in required areas.

• Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

• Ability to pass a drug screen & background check.

• 3 years of manual mill and/or lathe machining.

• Three years of verifiable work history.

• Willing & able to work overtime and shift work as required.

• Standing, Walking, Bending/Stooping, & Push/Pull 8 to 12 hours daily.

• Repetitive Movement (shoveling/sweeping/fastening) 8 to 12 hours daily.

• Lifting weights up to 50 lbs. Regularly.
