Where you fit:
We are looking for a diligent General Ledger (GL) Accountant to join our global accounting team. The GL Accountant's responsibilities include maintaining general ledger accounts and reports, performing account reconciliations, assisting with month-end close processes, supporting external audits, and maintaining documentation. You will also update our cash balances in Sage Intacct daily and ensure that customer payments are applied properly to customer accounts.
To be successful as a GL Accountant, you should be able to accurately maintain assigned general ledger accounts and ensure compliance with US GAAP. An outstanding GL Accountant will also have an extreme attention to detail as well as excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
Candidates will report to the office in American Fork, UT, but consideration will be given for those who would prefer a hybrid (onsite/remote) work schedule
Responsibilities:
Maintain general ledger accounts as assigned, including prepaid and fixed assets
Record activity for assigned accounts as part of the month-end close process
Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and supporting documentation
Ensure that all general ledger activity is in accordance with US GAAP and confirm that all documentation meets external audit requirements
Assist with monthly review of P&L activity and flux analyses
Enter all cash activity for assigned entities and bank accounts on a daily basis, maintaining current cash balances and cash applications in Intacct
Reconcile all assigned bank accounts monthly
Work closely with A/R Specialists to ensure customer payments are properly applied to accounts
Perform monthly, quarterly, and yearly roll-forwards for all assigned accounts
Assist with sales tax reporting and expense accruals as necessary
Responsible for Fixed Asset subledger in Intacct
Meet all assigned deadlines and provide prompt responses to internal and external inquiries
Assist with audit and tax PBCs, including annual reconciliations and supporting schedules
Support department and Company objectives through process improvements and efficiency by streamlining, creating, and documenting procedures
Assist in special projects as assigned by Management Team
Ad-hoc projects and requests as needed
Maintain general awareness of Springbrook security and privacy policies
Report any security incident or suspected security incident to the Springbrook Incident Response Team
Required Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in accounting or a related field
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or an additional 2 years of relevant GL/AP accounting experience
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Good problem-solving and time management skills
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Proficient in Microsoft products, especially Excel
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proven ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to prepare and analyze various datasets and general ledger activity
Ability to adhere to Springbrook company policies and procedures, including security and confidentiality policies
Preferred Qualifications:
Licensed CPA or eligibility to sit for the CPA exams
Sage Intacct proficiency
BlackLine and Nexonia proficiency
Advanced Excel skills
