Work as part of a team in support of a manufacturing operation with a goal of increasing productivity; decreasing downtime and waste.

Assume active role in overall plant and facilities-related work. Position requires assisting all jobs on the plant floor.

Follow all company safety rules and lock-out tag-out procedures.

Maintain shop and shop equipment per 5S Standards.

Other duties as assigned.

May be required to stack parts up to 30 lbs. for a period of up to 12 hours.


High School Graduate or GED.

Be passionate about maintaining a safe work environment.

Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Must be willing to work the first second and third shift.

Must have a good attendance record.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S.


Experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment is preferred.

Possess an understanding that temperatures and volumes of work may vary.


Must be willing to work closely on a day-to-day basis with other production personnel.

Ability to share ideas with others to solve problems of essential importance.

Excellent communication skills.

Thrive in a cross-functional team environment.

Work with a sense of urgency to reduce downtime of machines.

Strong verbal communication skills.

Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple requests simultaneously.

In consultation with our financial industry clients and internal product teams, he/she will utilize business and technical knowledge to improve product performance. The Specialist Intern/Co-op will ensure that our software and services are productive and efficient. The Specialist Intern/Co-op will work within a specific module of the product and several instrument types (equity, fixed income, derivatives, FX, etc.). As developments in the investment industry unfold, the end users will request additional features for the product. The Specialist will keep up to date with the industry and assist development in implementing these new features into the software product. He/she must be familiar with both financial and technical concepts. Responsibilities: * Apply detailed knowledge of financial requirements and workflows to assist in product development * Research and produce business and technical requirement documents * Provide product expertise support to various internal parties to ensure the product meets customer expectations * Work directly with customers and product management team to gather product requirements and develop feature specifications; involvement in all aspects of the software product life cycle * Partner with development to help develop, implement and refine features * Plan and schedule validation tasks; provide hands-on manual tests; develop verification plans and processes * Provide feedback on product performance * Review documentation to ensure accurate and complete documentation * Provide client beta testing support and train personnel on capabilities of new product releases * Assist with the management of project schedules and deliverables * Assist implementation and support to resolve escalated client issues Requirements: * Enrollment in a graduate program at a leading college or university in the field of Mathematical Finance, Financial Engineering, Computer Science, or related * 1 year of experience * Mathematical Finance training is desirable * Firm understanding of various investments classes and security types * Detailed knowledge of domestic and international Equity and / or Fixed Income workflows, derivative strategies, and analytics * Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation skills * Advanced writing skills, including the ability to abstract/summarize highly detailed information * Strong analytical skills, including the ability to reconcile conflicting data * Ability to translate customer business needs into application requirements * Strong technical background * Experience with financial software such as Bloomberg, Reuters etc. * Demonstrated planning and scheduling skills State Street Global Advisors Burlington NC
