Seeking General Labor Foreman for our Tuscumbia Construction Operations

Provide planning, supervision and documentation for general labor operations. Responsibilities will also include training personnel in safety, general labor tasks, and other tasks involved in excavation/grading operations.

Description for Candidates

Wage $24.00hr, starting wage based on experience.

GENERAL FUNCTION:

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for overseeing, coaching and modeling safety procedures and policies at all times.

Provides leadership and is responsible for safety, scheduling, workforce planning, coordinating, supervising and assisting with cost control, ensuring the consistent and fair application of all SSC policies and procedures.

Directly supervises and coordinates the activities of field employees.

Knowledge of mass grading sequencing and placement of excavated material, a plus.

Inspects work site to determine potential hazards or safety concerns.

Knowledge of sediment control devices, erosion regulations, and installation methods A plus.

Identifies, verifies, and reports any scheduling conflicts, needs, or deficiencies with other crews and subcontractors to the appropriate persons when applicable.

Company work truck / Gas Card provided for official company use.

Qualifications

Must have 3 years' experience in general construction operations

Must have clean driving record (Variable)

Must be able to obtain DOT Health Card

Effective Communication and leadership Skills

Interpret the drawings and specifications for the job a plus.

Work in an environment with noise levels that may require hearing protection.

Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and extended hours as needed.

Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions.

Willingness to work in a team environment

Able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration requirement.

Must be Drug Free and able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and possess a Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.

Must be willing to adhere to RGI and OSHA safety standards.

35-hour Weather Guarantee after 30 days of employment, must be available to work 6 days during the seven-day work period. Hours guaranteed, up to 35 hours (example: worked 20hrs, Actual Pay 35hrs; worked 38hrs, Actual Pay 38hrs). Weather pay is accrued on weekly accumulation, not hours per day. Holiday pay counts toward the 35-hour guarantee.

Paid Holiday Shutdown period between Christmas and New Years in addition to

7 paid holidays throughout the year.

Paid vacation - Accrued during the first year starting at 180 days, 2 weeks at 1 year; 3 weeks at 5 years; 4 weeks at 20 years of service.

Annual performance-based merit increases.
