General Counsel

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Counsel to oversee all legal aspects of our business.Your duties will include ensuring that our company operates within the law at all times, offering counsel on legal issues, creating effective defense strategies, and enhancing business opportunities. The successful candidate will be able to ensure legal compliance and limit risk exposure, provide expert and strategic legal advice to management, and set internal governance policies. Must be self-driven and self-motivated to achieve results within established time frames.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Provide legal advice on a wide range of issues to ensure the company operates within legal guidelines Handle or oversee the management of all legal matters, including contract negotiations, mergers and acquisitions, compliance issues, and litigation Represent the company in legal proceedings, either directly or through managing external attorneys Manage the company’s intellectual property registrations and filings Prepare and review company contracts, requests for proposals, and other legal documents Maintain knowledge on pertinent legislative and regulatory changes that may affect the company’s operations Establish and maintain internal governance policies Provide training to the company on legal topics and promote legal, compliance and risk management awareness within the company Communicate with outside counsel, clients, regulators and other stakeholders Deliver results with strong emphasis on quality and timelines. Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

Advanced law degree, such as a Juris Doctor degree or regional equivalent Comprehensive knowledge of the law, such as corporate, labor, and appellate law Exceptional judgment for weighing inputs and evaluating potential courses of action Strong leadership and decision-making skills based on ethics and integrity Strategic acumen and excellent problem-solving capabilities Excellent communication, collaboration, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Strong process orientation and documentation abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment with exciting work and a fun team.

Physical requirements/Work Environment: This position is full time on site, located in Irvine, CA. This position primarily works in an office.

It requires frequent sitting, standing and walking. This position requires sitting for long periods of time in front of a computer display or other digital devices. Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required.

May require standing for extended periods when facilitating meetings, walking in the facilities. Some travel may be required so the ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid Driver’s license is required.
