The purpose of this position is to provide operational support to the Director of Operations Services with the development, integration, and implementation of project controls systems at a company level. This includes planning, job cost analysis, project performance reporting, and quality review of document control on the project. This position continues to provide processes and improvements, operational support, and training. The person should be technically competent and have full knowledge of Austin Bridge & Road policies and procedures.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Administration & Planning
Provide project startup and closeout support
Audit project control systems and provide feedback, report findings to the Director of Operations Services
Review monthly job cost
Work on special projects, such as claims as directed by the Director of Operations Services
Support organizational efforts to implement a standard cost coding structure
Assist project teams in preparing for successful audits
Cost Performance
Review the significant Work Plans to assure compliance with the project's financial objectives
Review time sheets periodically and insure correctness for accurate job cost data
Assist and review cost accounting system in accordance with corporate guidelines. Review Labor Cost Reports at regular intervals and provide overall feedback to the Director of Operations Services
Quality
Periodic confirmation that project teams are making contractual notices timely
Report on untimely issuance of subcontracts
Ensure that all terms and specifications in the contract are being met
Technical
Understand and be able to train on company software, such as Project Management and Document Control Software
Read and interpret Owner's drawings and specifications ensuring that AB&R staff and subcontractors understand all the specific job requirements
Together with the project manager, ensure compliance with all federal, state, and municipal laws, ordinances and building codes related to construction. Included are company policies and procedures dealing with employment, compensation, health, safety, labor/management relations, etc. Take corrective action, as necessary, to ensure compliance.
Administrative competency in understanding either Unit Price Bid Build work, Cost of the Work, or Design Build projects

Requirements
B.S. in construction management/science, engineering, accounting, finance or a related field
Generally requires 5+ years' work experience in the construction industry
Experience with project manager software: CMIC, HeavyJob
Experience with cost projection, financial analysis, budget reviews and labor reports
Ability to build and manage direct reports
