Job Description:

CACI is seeking a General Clerk to support an Army program in Aberdeen, MD. As an Access Control Specialist, you will be responsible for the front line security of our customer's facilities. You will verify visitor credentials, clearances, and supporting the overall integrity of our customer's government facilities. You will also work with our customer and their guests to ensure that security standards are met as individuals enter this space.

What You'll Get to Do:

  • Facilitate and process badge requests for all C5ISR HQ Civilians and Military personnel.

  • Provide back up support to the Physical Security team supporting all C5ISR Center directorates.

  • Review and approve all non-SCI cleared visitors for C5ISR Center. Evaluate the need for access against the security requirements for access and make determinations on whether to approve or deny the visit.

  • Maintain Government-furnished computerized visitor databases to include the Security Management Systems (SMS), Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS), hardcopy clearance records and visit authorization files.

  • Enforce all procedures in Security SOP.

  • Assist with foreign Visitor coordination ensuring proper clearance has been obtained prior to visit.

  • Manage the access to C5ISR Center spaces for all Directorates. Receive requests for access to individual lab spaces. Add access to the requested individuals' Campus badge once approval is received from Lab Manager, Branch or Division Chief.

  • Support the processing of incoming visit requests for all C5ISR Center directorates. Ensure information on visit requests is accurate, verify clearance level listed for incoming visitors in JPAS, enter information into the Security Management System (SMS) for all non I2WD visits. Ensure incoming visits to C5ISR are entered into the internal routing system.

  • Provide access rosters to Lab Managers and Program Security Officers as requested. Once reviewed updates are provided back to the badge and access control specialist for access to either be added to individuals who require access or removed from those who no longer require access.

  • This position will be an essential component within a fast-paced environment requiring meticulous attention to critical security processes and procedures.

  • As a frontline member of the security team, the Security Specialist will interface first hand with high-ranking government, civilian, and contractor officials within C5ISR HQ and will be responsible for upholding intensive security practices and procedures.
