Job Summary:

Our client in Troy, MI is looking for a General Assembly Manufacturing Project Manager. This is a Contract position.

We are seeking an experienced and detail oriented General Assembly Manufacturing Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in overseeing and managing the execution of assembly manufacturing projects from initiation to completion. The General Assembly Manufacturing Project Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

• Prioritize safety above all to protect our team members, partners, and customers.

• Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining timelines, milestones, and resource requirements.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope and objectives.

• Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans.

• Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams in the execution of assembly manufacturing projects on time and within budget.

• Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.

• Implement effective project management processes and methodologies.

• Allocate resources appropriately to ensure project success.

• Work closely with department heads to secure necessary resources and support.

• Communicate project status, issues, and risks regularly to stakeholders.

• Foster a collaborative and transparent communication environment within the project team.

• Identify and address project issues promptly to keep the project on track.

• Implement corrective actions to overcome obstacles and challenges.

• Implement and maintain quality control processes throughout the project lifecycle.

• Ensure that products meet established quality standards.

• Maintain detailed project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and reports.

• Capture and document lessons learned for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.

• Proven experience as a Project Manager in the manufacturing or assembly industry.

• Familiarity with general assembly processes and manufacturing best practices.

• Strong project management skills with a focus on delivering results.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficient in project management tools and software.

• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive project success.

• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on launching new car models.
