Kelly Services has partnered with an Oshkosh Company that is the leader in the design and manufacturing of military tactical wheeled vehicles. The General Assembler role is responsible for the assembly or install of a variety of major and minor subassemblies, parts, and systems as directed.

Position Details:

  • Hourly Pay: $20.00/hour

  • Shift: 1st Shift

  • Hours: Monday

  • Friday, 6:00am

  • 2:30pm

  • Status: Contract

JOB SUMMARY Troubleshoot and repair any vehicle system using schematics, repair manuals as available, and test equipment as needed. JOB DUTIES * Check and adjust vehicle and systems for completion and function. * Repair assembly defects and install shortages before and after truck inspection. * Rotate as needed in any assembly or sub-assembly function. * Train new employees or those moving to a new work area as directed. * Resolve repetitive defects by investigation and retraining assemblers in the involved areas. * Specialize on all types and phases of assembly and/or disassembly and teardown of Reman vehicles and applicable components. * Work includes electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. * Requires climbing under and over vehicles. * Parts handled weigh up to 10,000 lbs. with suitable cranes, dollies, etc., provided for heavy components. * Requires intra-plant driving of vehicles.
