GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for performing a variety of complex accounting tasks involved in maintaining financial records and the processing of related data.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Audit accounts payable vouchers

  • Review open Accounts Payable (AP) report and resolve unresolved issues

  • Process monthly invoice accrual and enter adjusting journal entry

  • Prepare monthly General Ledger adjustments

  • Reconcile general ledger (GL) accounts and assist with preparing monthly GL reconciliations

  • Review corporate payroll reports to audit for corrections and/or adjustments and process Journal Entry

  • Audit and review timesheets to ensure completion and identified errors are corrected

  • Audit and review assets and equipment

  • Prepare Cash Forecast

  • Process Daily Cash

  • Must be at assigned worksite during assigned hours 100% of time; less PTO, FML/STD/LTD

Other Job Functions

  • Monitor and receive freight for allowable employee personal shipments

  • Prepare fringe adjustments and timesheets for new outsourced personnel

  • Maintain and manage accounting files for records retention

  • Assist with creating and reviewing company policies and procedures

  • Other duties may be assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards

Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors

Ability to interact appropriately with the public when necessary

Ability to adhere to workplace rules

Ability to maintain detailed and accurate records

Ability to be self-motivated and work independently in a fast paced, dynamic work environment

Effective time management and prioritization skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong and pronounced problem solving and analytical skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

HS Diploma or equivalent

A minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably in a related industry

A minimum level of intermediate MS Excel and MS Word experience is a must

Experience working with ERPs and/or MRPs

WORK ENVIROMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Office environment

Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time

Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, 10-key, phones)
