Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a (Temporary) General Accounting Intern

Position Status: Full-time, Day Shift; Temporary status

Position Location: This position is available for remote work for residents in the Hampton Roads geographic area of Virginia

Standard Working Hours: 8:00AM to 5:00PM (ET) (or as indicated by Accounting Manager)

Minimum Requirements:

• High School diploma completed and candidate is currently :
• Rising Bachelor Level Degree applicant, Finance/ Accounting educational program

Job Summary

Position allows for temporary employment as part of educational development opportunity. Under the close direction of permanently employed leaders of the division, Intern assumes responsibility for operational projects and supporting the leadership initiatives for a defined period of time.

Assist in completion of various projects and administrative duties while developing skills related to the assigned department and healthcare industry. Coordinates and assists with projects based on operational needs and/or Intern's area of interest. Communicates ongoing progress related to currently assigned tasks.

Must be currently pursuing and/or enrolled in a college or university at an undergraduate or graduate level or an active military service member seeking a SkillBridge internship.

Qualifications:

HS - High School Grad or Equivalent (Required)
