Gender Dysphoria Clinical Psychologist

Currently we are in search of a Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience in Gender Dysphoria to take a lead role in providing mental health support to patients experiencing gender dysphoria and other related mental health conditions. The Incumbent is expected to have the clinical knowledge to provide effective psychotherapy and be culturally competent to administer services to the LGBTQ patient populations. Position is dependent on contract award.

Requirements:

  • Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology

  • Full unrestricted license to practice Psychology in the State of Michigan

  • 7 years clinical experience

  • Extensive experience with Gender Dysphoria

  • Culturally competent and capable of providing exemplary psychotherapeutic services to the LGBTQ patient populations

  • Performs continuous patient observations to promote patient and staff safety at all times.

  • Observes, reports, and documents patient's behavior and responses to therapy in the electronic medical record.

  • Participates in individual or group therapeutic activities; observes and documents patient's response to therapy

  • Develops and maintains therapeutic relationship with patients.

  • Measures and records vital signs, weight and height.

  • Assists with application of restraints and monitors the psychological and physical well-being of patients in restraints and documents observations.

  • Performs One-to-One coverage and monitoring of patients as assigned and documents observations.

  • Document and maintain accurate patient records in EHR system.

  • Maintain HIPPA compliance.

Other job functions and duties may fall within the scope of this role and will become a necessary part of the job function for this opportunity.

The Field Engineering Specialist, in the Roche Support Network, serves as a technical repair specialist to assigned product lines and geographies.
