Geek Squad Delivery Experience Cadet

The Delivery Experience Cadet is responsible for assisting in the delivery, hookup, and haul away of Appliances and Televisions. The Cadet ensures a seamless experience for our customer and that their expectations are met on their delivery.

Key accountabilities:

  • Assists the Home Delivery Driver in all aspects involved with Client deliveries (delivery, product set-ups and haul away)

  • Assists the Home Delivery Driver in determining best way to bring merchandise in, including deciding if any doors need to be detached in order to protect Clients home and purchased product(s). Removes and re-installs doors as necessary

  • Assists the Home Delivery Driver in moving products safely into the home and unboxing and setting up products. Ensures products are functioning properly.

  • Completes all paperwork, and obtains Client signature for proof of delivery

  • Manages inventory and vehicle maintenance according to established vehicle standards and processes

Basic Qualifications:

  • State/local licensing as required

  • 21+ years of age

  • Carry/lift/push/pull weight up to 350 lbs. alone or up to 700 as part of team, with the use of a harness/lift/dolly, with or without reasonable accommodation

VIEW JOBS 9/19/2018 12:00:00 AM 2018-12-18T00:00 A day in the life of a User Experience Writer The User Experience (UX) Writer is a content strategy writer that specifically writes a variety of content to enhance the member experience while utilizing the Credit Union's digital channels in accordance with Credit Union and member needs. This role communicates content and presents projects to project stakeholders which include: software developers, user experience designers, business units, compliance, and Executive Team. The User Experience (UX) Writer is responsible for developing the strategy and the execution of content across all digital channels. This position is a part of the Member Digital Experience team that collaborates closely with eServices and the project stakeholders to create compelling, user-friendly, and informative experiences for the Credit Union's members. The User Experience (UX) Writer will use language that creates memorable, impactful, effective, and poignant content that expresses and understands human emotions and experiences in the context of the member during an online interaction with the Credit Union. Design intuitive, delightful, digital experiences that helps members accomplish their goals. Responsibilities User Experience (UX) Writer I: * Create content for members using the tone and language that embody the voice of the Credit Union to ensure excellent service experiences via the Credit Union's member digital touchpoints: ComputerLine, Websites, mobile apps, emails, text messages, chat bots, and voice interface * Helps shape digital experiences by creating useful and meaningful text that understands the members'/potential members' feelings while completing tasks in digital channels * Responsible for writing copy for member-facing touchpoints while simplifying the overall experience * Works closely with other UX design-related roles and the Member Digital Experience team to establish a connective language and a unified voice * Develops clear, consistent language for tools and applications * Writes in clear and concise narratives using conversational language * Create copy that represents the voice of the organization and that is considerate, useful, and empathetic; able to express delight and concern * Use writing and editing skills to write member Interface text that facilitates navigation, as well onboarding; new product introductions; error messages; instructional materials; one-to-one product offers; and other components of the end-to-end user experience * Documents strategies with guidelines and establishes best practices and strategy principles * Manages projects from needs assessment to implementation; identifying opportunities, establishing priorities, securing resources, and managing stakeholders * Uses empathy, logic, and research data to inform content choices * Provide content recommendations that include the correct words and sometimes complementary data and images * Write copy for member and employee training materials * Partners with cross-functional teams to define content requirements and strategy that best achieve organizational goals * Writes and edits digital content that meets project goals and end user needs * Collaborates on the creation of new digital systems to tag and organize new and existing content and site navigation * Partners with Member Digital Experience, IT Developer, and UX teams to define user models and interfaces for new/updated features and functionality * Works with other departments as needed to ensure the content strategy is effectively implemented across channels * Ensures online content complies with organizational brand standards, web style guide, legal and compliance * Collaborates on the development of content style guides, content and messaging strategies, best practices and processes * Partners with others within the organization to leverage and share ideas and make recommendations that apply broadly across multiple channels * Plan and write content for all digital channels that includes (interaction flows, emails, and product messaging * Collaborates with design partners to influence page layout, interactions and visual design * Coordinates content with Marketing, Communications and Information Technology teams to ensure the creation of a consistent end-to-end experience * Maintains and evolves MSU Federal Credit Union's content standards, including voice and tone User Experience (UX) Writer II: * All of User Experience (UX) Writer I duties and responsibilities * Reviews analytics on an ongoing basis to understand member behavior to manage and shape content and messaging strategies * Conducts enhanced research to understand and better integrate content * Conducts research to identify trends in writing for digital channels * Presents work and articulates design thinking to teammates and other stakeholders * Drives the vision for product language and content across a product or subject-matter domain, and ensures cohesive product narratives * Evaluates the usability of new and existing products, and makes constructive suggestions for change * Provides data-informed insights to improve existing experiences * Research, conduct, and participate in member audience research as part of the user-centered design process Senior User Experience (UX) Writer: * All of User Experience (UX) Writer I and II duties and responsibilities * Provides leadership, direction, and mentorship to User Experience (UX) writers levels I and II * Educates cross-functional partners on the role of UX writing and content strategy throughout the product development process * Provides leadership on UX project team efforts to ensure content and design meet organizational objectives and user needs * Uses data and research to evaluate the content's impact, and strives for continuous improvement that demonstrates results * Builds out and executes editorial strategy and content strategy * Sets vision for content and drives cohesive product narratives across multiple platforms and touchpoints * Develops a vision for product content across a given domain * Ensure tactical execution to drive cohesive product narratives across all digital touch points within the product (and work with marketing and operations on touch points outside the product) * Analyze and apply consumer insights * Iterate on overall design and content to produce exceptional member experience What you can bring to MSUFCU: User Experience (UX) Writer I: * Bachelor's Degree required. Preferred degree in English, Journalism, Technical Writing, Creative Writing, Marketing, Human Computer Interaction, Communications, Public Relations or related field * Experience developing web content for financial services products is preferred * Accurate writing and proofing abilities * Have resilience: ability and willingness to define and redefine * Independent worker that can prioritize projects and deadlines * Excellent, highly creative communication and critical-thinking skills * At ease managing multiple projects, setting stakeholder expectations, working individually and collaborating across teams * Minimum of two (2) years of relevant or applicable experience on user-focused writing, including work in hardware, software, digital agency, documentation or journalism * Portfolio of UX-focused writing samples and style guidelines * Knowledge of online technology and related products, including web and mobile user interface and tools * Skills as a self-starter who can manage projects in a fast-paced environment and remain focused amidst frequently changing requirements * Experience in creating and executing on a content strategy within the interactive space * Experience working on a large-scale website or network of sites and mobile applications; creating/editing content for multiple channels * A proven track record collaborating on projects to translate complex concepts into easy-to-understand interactive experiences * Passion for creating great user experiences with actionable knowledge of the digital landscape including current industry and user trends, emerging technologies, and standards * Understanding of interaction design and information architecture with regards to content strategy User Experience (UX) Writer II: * All of User Experience (UX) Writer Level I knowledge, skills, and abilities * Preferred 3-5 years UX Writer experience with experience creating copy for web and mobile platforms * In-depth understanding of security and privacy of members' data * Strong ability to present information concisely for high impact * Knowledge of the Credit Union's loans, savings, payments, and transaction services, including rules and regulations, policies and procedures * Familiarity with user experience research principles and practices and how to use data to provide informed user insights Senior User Experience (UX) Writer: * All of User Experience (UX) Writer Level I and II knowledge, skills, and abilities * Preferred five (5) or more years of professional writing experience, with 3 years writing web and mobile content, preferably for interactive user experiences * Excellent leadership, communication and teamwork skills * Superior writing, editing, and proofreading skills * The ability to lead, collaborate, and influence (with and without direction) engineering, design, and product management teams * In-depth experience with user interface design tools * Extensive Experience presenting cohesive user flows, storyboards, and written text wireframes to stakeholders. * Extensive experience planning for and developing useful, usable content including instructional text, error and confirmation messages, taxonomy and nomenclature MSU Federal Credit Union East Lansing MI
