GCP Infra Architect

Technical Skills:

• 7+ years technology consulting and/or relevant industry experience

• Cloud implementation experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• Working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform

• Experience hosting an application on GCP using Compute Engine, App Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, Stack Driver, etc

• Networking principles and protocols such as IP subnetting, routing, firewall rules, Virtual Private Cloud, LoadBalancer, Cloud DNS, Cloud CDN, etc.

• Experience with Containerization i.e. GKE in GCP

• Experience on Google PaaS Services e.g Composer Services, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, etc

• Microservices and Containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, GKE, EKS, ECS, etc)

• Proficient in a modern scripting language (preferably Python) for automation of build tasks.

• Knowledge of linux/powershell scripting is must

• Familiarity with security and networking principles and design patterns

• Familiarity with agile development methods

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

Roles & Responsibilities:

• The main responsibility of this role is to technically lead a migration of infra from on-prem to a co-lo location of GCP. Experience of DC migration to GCP will be a must.
