Summary: Develop, implement and keep records of operational procedures and guidelines in Gate Station Operations. Provide administrative and technical support for Gate Station Operations.

Note: May be required to work on call on a 24-hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week basis.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain operational and maintenance procedures/guidelines for Gate Station Operations.

  • Analyze the performance of equipment in odorization, measurement, and pressure regulation systems.

  • Maintain spare parts inventory for gate station systems.

  • Maintain records to comply with Federal and State regulations and tariffs.

  • Assist project managers with capital and maintenance projects.

  • Assist Manager/Sr. Specialist, Gate Station Operations as needed.

  • Interact with internal and external audiences to interpret and evaluate guidelines and procedures associated with the unit's programs, systems, and services.

  • Maintain the Gate Station on call list and posting.

  • Maintain all schedules for metering and equipment maintenance.

  • Provide weekly schedules to operating areas.

Skills & Abilities:

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience: must have operations experience and knowledge of Natural Gas facilities.

  • Proven ability to use computer software and applications, including Microsoft Office, for data management, research, analysis and reporting purposes.

  • Demonstrated ability to present ideas logically and concisely both verbally and in writing.

  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize and analyze multiple scenarios in solving broadly-defined business problems.

o Demonstrated working knowledge of: Operation and maintenance of mechanical and electronic equipment in Gate Station Operations.

o Process control theory.

o Math and analytical skills.

o Technical writing.

o Applicable Federal and State Regulations.

  • Demonstrated ability to establish rapport and effective working relationships with business partners, supervisors and peers.

Responsible to meet or exceed all performance goals. Coach and provide career development to the staff. Correct non-compliant behavior and impose disciplinary action as required. Understand the corporate culture, policies and goals, and take measures to implement these into daily work routines. Manage the operational activities of the department in accordance with established policies and procedures. Administrative duties may include daily/weekly/monthly reports. Provide support when employee absence affects the operation. Maximize operational performance for the station by adjusting to changes in operational conditions and pro-actively solving problems. Supervise, direct and monitor personnel in the completion of their duties and make adjustments, as necessary, to ensure on-time performance and quality customer service. Identify delays, cancellations, and specific customer issues. Protect and rebook passengers on cancelled or delayed flights. Print boarding passes and issue vouchers. Meet delayed flights to make on-board announcements and distribute new boarding passes to affected customers. Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Minimum Qualifications: * Outstanding organizational skills and ability to multi-task * Ability to work independently, set and meet own deadlines * Ability to work well with all levels of management and support staff * Able to defuse conflicts among subordinate employees * Familiarity with MS Office Suite * Prior experience with internal controls processes for accountable items * Flexible schedule * Motivation to succeed * Excellent attendance record * At least 18 years of age * High School Diploma or GED * Valid Driver's License Preferred Qualifications: * Previous airline management experience * Current Piedmont employee with a minimum six months of service * Knowledge of basic airport procedures and fundamental job requirements for gate and ramp agents * Bachelor's Degree in Aviation, Business or related field Work Environment: * Airport environment, subject to varied weather conditions and elevated noise levels * Work weekends, nights, holidays and/or irregular shifts Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 70 pounds; provide assistance to customers with disabilities The above statements provide a brief description of the general nature of work performed and not intended to be a complete list of responsibilities, duties and skills required for this position.
