Job Description:

Pratt & Whitney Engineering is establishing a team at the Columbus Forge and Engine Center site in Columbus, GA and is seeking a Design Team Supervisor to support the increasing ramp-up in the production and overhaul of the Geared Turbo Fan Engine family. Design Engineers are responsible for a wide variety of Engineering Production Support and Overhaul activities supporting Cold Engineering outlined below.

As a Design Team Supervisor, your Responsibilities include:

  • You are responsible for process improvement of manufacturing processes.

  • You align manufacturing process capability to design/blueprint requirements.

  • You will be responsible for Class 2 Engineering Changes.

  • UPPAP execution (PFMEA, process flow and process certification).

  • You will provide overhaul support including teardown/build requirements, part inspections/documentation, and repair development.

By locating underground utilities, we are protecting the communities where we live and work. Gas Service Technicians are responsible for maintenance and tasks associated with gas systems, such as collecting GPS coordinates on gas utilities and equipment, configuring GPS units for compliance, collection of gas assets, reporting abnormal operating conditions, and distributing work notification flyers, as required. This includes taking time to sync GPS coordinates with required satellites, ensuring all GPS data is downloaded, and required paperwork is completed. Our "mobile office" approach to work means that you will never have the same day twice. Our Technicians work from their company vehicle utilizing our state of the art survey grade GPS equipment to collect location data on our client’s facility. We are able to pinpoint the location of underground utilities through the use of an electro-magnetic receiver integrated into the survey equipment. This position requires you to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions and use a company provided laptop, tablet, or smart phone to document and close all tickets. Our 48-hour turnaround time means we generally work the day after holidays and some weekends, as needed. We are currently hiring throughout Columbus, OH. The starting pay for this position is $16.00 per hour. These are daytime, full-time positions and some overtime may be required. Instructor led training will be provided. Background in locating is a plus.
