Gibbs Oil has an opening for a Phillips 66 Gas Station/Convenience Store Manager, in our Malden, MA location.

The basic duties for this position include, but are not limited to;

All aspects of the day to day running of the station, station appearance, completing both daily and shift paperwork, completing counts, stocking, ordering and keeping the location fully atocked at all times, customer service, cleaning, interviewing, hiring and training employees.

Requirements

Some Position Requirements are, but not limited to:

  • Experience in Retail management and Customer Service
  • Completion of All required day to day paperwork, ordering and running of the location
  • Order and receive merchandise utilizing ordering guidelines and build-to books
  • Can work without constant supervision
  • Ensuring the location is always adequately staffed, with all shifts covered
  • Ensuring that every customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging customers, maintaining outstanding standards, product knowledge and all other components of customer service.
    • Interacting with customers to provide information and assistance in response to inquiries about products and services.
    • Maintaining a clean, customer friendly store environment.
    • Performing regular cleaning activities including, but not limited to, cleaning floors, glass doors, counter surfaces, and restrooms, emptying all interior and exterior trash cans, rotating and straightening merchandise and cleaning beverage and food service equipment.
    • Replenishing products and supplies to ensure product availability.
    • Accurately and efficiently completing sales transactions and maintaining proper accountability at the cash register.
    • Maintaining an awareness of all product knowledge information, merchandise promotions, and advertisements.
  • Will maintain image standards by maintaining cleanliness and fresh merchandise
  • Able to recruit, interview, hire, train, develop and motivate station employees
  • Ability to discipline station employees using appropriate documentation
  • Can handle a fast paced work environment
  • Is a team player and can motivate employees to do the same
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays and/or nights, if needed to cover shifts
  • Reports all unusual occurrences, environmental or maintenance issues to DM
  • Ability to pay attention to detail when completing required daily documentation
  • Able to drive on a daily basis and has a valid driver's license

Physical
Requirements Include:

Comfort with standing for extended periods of time.

Ability to shovel snow and / or complete outside work.

Ability to lift up to 25lbs.

DEPARTMENTAL MISSION STATEMENT The Office of Community Corrections (OCC) is the intermediate sanction department of the Massachusetts Probation Service. The mission of the OCC is the establishment of intermediate sanctions which offer a continuum of sanctions and services for probation, parole, sheriffs and the Department of Correction. This interagency and community collaboration supports public safety. ORGANIZATIONAL PROFILE: https://www.mass.gov/orgs/office-of-community-corrections POSITION SUMMARY The Program Manager supervises the day-to-day operations of the Middlesex County Community Corrections Center (CCC) located in Middlesex County. The Program Manager shall be responsible for: developing an array of services and accountability measures to be implemented as intermediate sanctions in accordance with statutes and existing policies and procedures; monitoring performance of OCC contracts with community-based organizations for treatment services, program monitoring, and drug and alcohol screening; delegating specific responsibilities to his/her staff; keeping the regional program manager of OCC informed of the operational conditions and needs of the CCC. Monitors the work flow in the CCC and the conduct of the staff. Evaluates performance of subordinate personnel as required. The Office of Community Corrections (OCC) is the intermediate sanction department of the Massachusetts Probation Service. The OCC is statutorily charged with the development of community corrections interventions that are implemented as intermediate sanctions for criminal justice. The OCC community corrections infrastructure comprises a network of Community Corrections Centers (CCC) and the Community Service Program. Community corrections centers deliver an enhanced supervision model which integrates service delivery with accountability measures for offenders at high risk for recidivism. Services include cognitive behavioral treatment to address criminality and substance use disorder, adult basic/secondary education and other educational support, career development, life-skills training, communicable disease education and counseling and comprehensive case management. SUPERVISION RECEIVED: The Program Manager works under the direct supervision of the Regional Program Manager. MAJOR DUTIES Under the supervision of the Regional Program Manager, the Program Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the CCC. Develops a client tracking system. Develops a data collection system. Organizes and schedules ongoing working group meetings. Assists with the evaluation, modification and expansion of services and programs of the CCC. Develops new approaches to meet the changing needs of the client population. Coordinates activities of the CCC with the various courts, participating criminal justice agencies and community-based service providers to enhance service delivery to clients. Collaborates with OCC management staff for the development of a center handbook, client manual and operations manual. Provides monthly report to regional program manager Communicates with regional manager on an ongoing basis. Works within the approved OCC budget and is responsible to document all expenditures of the CCC. Performs community relations activities, participating in conferences, panels and other approved community outreach activities that involve the CCC. Performs such other duties as may be assigned by the regional program manager in accordance with the standards of the OCC. Mastery of Evidence Based Practice (EBP) principles for treatment in criminal justice population, especially risk/need assessment.
