Department Overview

Position Summary

Prepares, conducts and evaluates assessments in accordance with workprocedures, policies and design standards. Conducts qualityassessments.

Compiles and reports out quality assessment results toother interested parties. Verifies Operator Qualifications of assessedemployees and instrument calibration records. Develops and updatesquality standards.

Monitors quality, identifies issues, reportsfindings and recommends process improvements. Demonstrates leadership insafety. Takes a proactive approach to identify and correct safetyhazards and work practices in the work place.

Qualifications

Minimum:

High School or GED-General Educational Development-GED DiplomaExperience as Gas Quality Control Specialist, 1 year

Experience as journey-level professional, job-related, 5 years

Experience in quality assurance, or related, 5 yearsCA Class C License, or equivalent

Record of Gas Service Reviewers training completion

Desired:

Associates Degree or equivalent experience

Experience in field work, gasASQ-American Society for Quality certification

Department Overview The Compliance department oversees compliance with regulatory requirements, manages pre-audit data requests from the SED and compliance projects, provides field support to Gas Operations LOB's providing guidance on expectations for SED inspections and reports. The Department: * Manages the relationship with the CPUC's Safety and Enforcement Division, providing leadership, coordination, guidance and follow-through for regulatory compliance audits and regulatory commitments * Coordinates closely with the Gas Operations field personnel to familiarize them with the SED inspection process and expectations * Works closely with field organizations to ensure adherence to Federal and State compliance requirements and commitments The Field Compliance organization, within the larger Compliance Department, consists of a small team responsible for: * Gathering pre-inspection data prior to SED lead inspections * Providing technical support prior to and during SED inspections * Providing expertise and support to field operations for code requirements as well as PG&E standards and procedure requirements * Promoting system wide solutions to compliance gaps * Reporting to all levels of management and leadership Position Summary Leads the pre-inspection compliance reviews and supports field inspections during the division and district SED inspections. Provide analytical and technical expertise to support data requests, regulatory proceedings, and litigation. Supports internal stakeholders across the organization to ensure traceable, verifiable and complete regulatory records, and supports regulatory directives to establish and maintain productive relationships with external stakeholders such as the CPUC, Government Officials, and Customers. Job Responsibilities * Demonstrates knowledge of regulatory policy and compliance concepts * Clearly articulates recommendations and findings in both written and oral communications internally and to functional management * Works with all levels of leadership across all GO functions to provide relevant compliance information, direction for decision making and SED inspections * Develops and presents alternatives and strategies for responding to requests from various internal/external sources for information (including interpretation, clarification, background, analysis, and recommendations). Conducts non-standard research and analysis for information requests determining the best sources, approaches, or analytical methods to meet the request/need. * Develops and prepares strategic briefing materials, summaries, communications, and recommendations for PG&E management, client organizations, and regulators. * Monitors and documents specifications, analysis results, and recommendations. * Collaborates with leadership and project/team leaders to coordinate the status of plans, workflow for future projects and procedural updates * Provide training, guidance, and instruction to less experienced gas operations (compliance) specialists. * Prepare Division/District's for scheduled SED inspections Qualifications Minimum: * Bachelor's (BA/BS) degree or equivalent experience * Five (5) years of experience in Gas Operations and/or maintenance * Proficiency with Microsoft applications * Quality Assurance experience * Willingness to travel extensively Desired: * Experience coaching and mentoring field personnel * Knowledge of CFR 49 part 192 * Experience with regulatory * Field experience related to gas operations * Experience in Research, writing, and analyzing information * Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point * Strong writing skills Pacific Gas And Electric Company San Ramon CA
