What you'll do

You will be part of a project team working closely with clients to define their technology strategy and execute their mission critical priorities. Who you are

  • Currently enrolled in MBA or other relevant advanced degree program with a December 2021 - June 2022 graduation date

  • 2+ years of Consulting or relevant experience

  • Interested and/or experienced in both technology and strategy

  • Professional experience in breaking down and solving complex problems, and defining actionable recommendations to achieve objectives

  • Excited to work with clients

  • Committed to the success of your team, and willing to provide and receive constructive feedback when needed

  • Intellectually curious, with the ability to develop creative solutions and strategies to solve client problems

  • Coachable, embracing best practices and feedback for continuous improvement

  • Comfortable taking direction from experts and senior executives, and able to build trust-based, value-added relationships quickly

  • A consistently high achiever marked by perseverance, humility and a positive outlook in the face of challenge

  • U.S. work authorization required

Salary range is Minimum $42.93/hr. to Maximum $66.55/hr. - based on relevant experience Work Schedule: * Full Time; 1st Shift * Monday - Friday; 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Job Description: This position oversees Texas Health's risk contract portfolio, including risk assessment, financial modeling, maximization of performance, monitoring of compliance activities and other activities that impact Texas Health. Texas Health's risk contract portfolios may be direct or indirect though joint ventures such as Texas Health Aetna and Southwestern Health Resources Clinically Integrated Network. Essential Functions: * Manage and monitor Texas Health's risk contracts and risk contract relationships, including Texas Health Aetna and Southwestern Health Resources Clinically Integrated Network. * Keep up to date with emerging risk models and payor/employer strategies that may impact Texas Health. * Understand and model risk contract impact within various Texas Health channels and throughout the entire organization. * Other duties related to risk portfolio for Texas Health, Texas Health Physicians Group and Texas Health joint venture partners as assigned. * Assist with Texas Health's price transparency and rational pricing initiatives and analysis. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field required * Master's Degree in Business preferred * 7 years' experience working with hospital and/or physician reimbursement models required Or * 7 years' experience performing financial analysis for a health plan required Licenses and Certifications: * CPA - Certified Public Accountant preferred upon hire Skills: * Ability to understand various types of risk contracts, including capitation, global risk, total cost of care, medical cost trends, pay for performance, NextGen, MSSP, direct to employer models, benefit plan designs, and health plan activities. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate upwards to executive management, boards and committees. * Ability to understand, analyze, and model risk contracts. * Ability to research new risk models and present options to executive management. * Knowledge and ability to learn in a fast paced, complex business environment. * Basic understanding of accounting principles and application in financial modeling. * Ability to analyze risk contracts for financial, regulatory, technological, strategic and operational risk. Will be required to present risk and potential mitigation strategies to executive management. * Demonstrated experience collaborating with senior stakeholders. * Strong project management skills. * Must be proficient in Microsoft office; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
