  • Ensures all garnishments are assessed, calculated, and implemented according to all applicable laws and regulations by state

  • Ensures appropriate communications are being completed to the various garnishment agencies and the facilities timely and efficiently

  • Proactively identifies and researches potential garnishment issues and recommends courses of action

  • Conducts on-going reviews of garnishment to ensure compliance

  • Stays abreast of federal and multi-state regulatory requirements, emerging industry trends and company policies that affect garnishments

  • Conducts investigations resulting from communicated issues, as directed

  • Reviews garnishment reports for accuracy

We are in need of an experienced Garnishment Specialist. This role is primarily responsible for monitoring and overseeing all the garnishments within the PSC. The Garnishment Specialist should have a strong background in garnishment calculations, payroll regulations, and compliance of federal regulations, multi-stat regulations and FLSA rules surrounding garnishments.   • Advanced education or equivalent work experience

  • 3 years experience in garnishment laws and calculations required

  • Experience in multi-state payroll environment preferred

  • Experience in payroll with a regulatory/compliance focus

Position Summary This position works across the business to support Bridgestone's business systems ensuring compliance and/or certification to ISO9001, IATF16949, and ISO17025 requirements. The role manages the main standards/documents, conducts internal audits of the business processes, supports the external third-party audits and guides the business groups in root cause determination and effective corrective and preventive actions. It includes working cross-functionally with technical and operational groups such as design, engineering, quality, and manufacturing while supporting the Bridgestone Enterprise, which includes Tire Operations at 22 locations in North and Latin America and support groups for the other business entities (e.g. Building and Industrial Products). These standards/documents define the operational systems, procedures, specifications, and criteria to ensure product, process, quality, customer satisfaction, and regulatory compliance that represent Intellectual Property and knowledge assets belonging to Bridgestone Americas, Inc. This position will be in Nashville, Tennessee or the Akron, Ohio facility. Responsibilities * Manages the processing and control of business, critical standards/documents.· Facilitates and supports the writing and improvement of standards/documents to ensure accurate. · Conducts performance monitoring and measurement to identify and lead activities ensuring the effectiveness and continual improvement of document control and knowledge management. · Leads and participates as an internal auditor of our business/quality management systems. · Develops and facilitates training supporting the business/quality management systems.· Facilitates and supports the organization in problem solving and process improvement activities. Supports the planning and facilitation of Business/Quality System Reviews. Qualifications Required Qualifications: (Skills, Experience, Education)· BS or BA in Business, Technical or related field · 3 - 5 years of relevant experience · Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems, ISO9001, IATF16949, and ISO17025· Problem solving and root cause analysis experience utilizing quality tools, such as DMAIC, FTA, 8D, etc.· Microsoft Office Suite with advanced knowledge/skills of SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio · Excellent written and oral communication. · Proven project management skills to efficiently and effectively balance workload and competing priorities. · Self starter willing to take ownership and lead activity. · Demonstrated passion for learning. · Planning and analytical capability· Ability to build relationships, work collaboratively and drive consensus at all levels of the organization. · Ability be flexible in a fast-paced, changing environment. · Ability to effectively influence. · Strong eye and attention to detail.
