Serves as a working leader of 3 or more employees in accomplishing trades and labor work.
Work requires the use of a variety of trade tools and practices such as; plumbing, gardening, maintenance, carpentry, painting, electricity and hydraulics.
Checks work in progress, and when finished, for compliance with supervisor's instruction on; work sequence, procedures, methods, and deadlines
Applies fungicides, pesticides, herbicides. Checks for disease or pest control problems. Applies fertilizer.
Works along with other workers, setting the pace performing non-supervisory work of the same kind and level as that done by the group led.
Demonstrates proper work methods and answers workers' questions regarding procedures, policies, and instructions.

Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects, weighing up to 50 pounds
Must be able to work outside, possibly in rain or in uncomfortably hot and humid conditions.
Muat be able to pass a health assessment.
1.Must have a working knowledge gardening technique and procedures, including irrigation systems.
2.Must be skilled applying fertilizers, insecticides, fungicides and herbicides.
3.Must be skilled in the use operation and maintenance of a variety of gardening power tools and heavy duty equipment.
4.Work experience directly related to the duties and skills described above.
5.Ability to do the work of the position under normal supervision.
6.Incumbent must have experience in irrigation system repair, modification and usage.
7.Must have a working knowledge of the chemicals and equipment used to control fungi, insects, and weeds.
Highly Preferred Criteria: "Current Georgia State Applicator's License to apply herbicides, pesticides, and fertilizer preferred"
