Work you'll do/Responsibilities

The Games Network Manager is responsible for working with the Telcom Service Provider and the host organizing committee to design, implement and operate the network solution to support the overall Technology Project for an edition of the Sporting Event. The role is a technical role with network engineer experience. The role will be responsible designing detailed network solutions both across the entire Sporting Event ecosystem as well as working with Venue Technology Managers and Venue Telecom Managers to ensure that requirements are understood and supported properly. The Games Network Manager will also work across all Technology Service Providers to support network standards and compatibility.

We incorporate expertise from across the firm to leverage common approaches, best practices, and strategic investments to scale these solutions according to industry strategy. Core Industry Solutions will be known in the market for a focus on transforming industry operations through industry technology solutions.

Qualifications

Required

  • Technology Leader with 7+ years of experience working in enterprise networks and working with or for Telecom service providers

  • Significant mission-critical operations experience

  • Must have great communication and interpersonal skills as the role will require the ability to influence other technologists that are not part of the core team (Sporting Events)

  • Passion around sports in general and the Sporting Events Movement is a requirement

  • Potential for relocation to Milan, Italy. Periodic travel (a few trips per year) to Switzerland, US, and host countries

  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience.

  • Limited Sponsorship may be available

  • Travel up to 10% annually

Preferred

  • Some network certifications (e.g. CCIE, Cloud provider) is strongly desired

  • Knowledge of radio/spectrum management is a bonus

  • Experience with major games events (Commonwealth, etc.) is strongly preferred

  • Additional languages beyond Italian and English

  • For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role would land at or near the top end of the range, but such a decision will be dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the range is $84,000 - $140,000
