Manager for Gamecock Gateway
The Manager for Gamecock Gateway is a professional staff member in the Student Success Center within the Division of Student Affairs and Academic Support. The Manger for Gamecock Gateway provides leadership for the Gamecock Gateway program (a residential bridge program) in collaboration with Midlands Technical College. The Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, and assessment of the administration, integration, engagement, and student success of the students participating in the Gamecock Gateway Program.
Day to Day for this position:
Serve as a liaison with Midlands Technical College for the Gamecock Gateway program (residential bridge program)
Support of Gamecock Gateway students in their enrollment, retention, and transition in their first year of college
Workshop development and delivery
Outreach, programming and intervention initiatives for student populations

Minimum Qualifications
Requires a bachelor's degree and 2 or more years of experience, which may be substituted by equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and/or experience. Pending graduates eligible if candidate receives their degree by date of employment
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education, or Counseling. Minimum 2 years relevant work experience coordinating and assessing student or academic programs in a higher education setting, including supervisory experience, is preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Position requires strong critical thinking and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently while developing strong collaborative relationships with colleagues, students, and student affairs and academic affairs units. Exercise excellent professional judgment and discretion.

Job Duty
Coordinate, develop, and oversee the Gamecock Gateway program in collaboration with Midlands Technical College, USC Enrollment Management, Midlands Technical College staff, and USC administrative departments. Including the successful recruitment, enrollment, retention, and transition of students during their first year of college.

Supports the comprehensive nature of the SSC through workshop development/delivery, committees, representation at campus events, and participation at SSC and Division of Student Affairs & Academic Support meetings.

Checks the accuracy of regular reports on program usage. Makes recommendations on efficiency and effectiveness of program by assessing usage and student outcomes.

Arranges outreach, programming and intervention initiatives for specific student populations in order to support student success based on national best practices. Stay abreast of current issues and trends related to transfer students and/or student success through engagement and active professional development opportunities.
