DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Calibration technicians maintain, test and repair a variety of instrumentation and equipment in order to ensure that instruments, gauges and testing devices are calibrated correctly and give accurate readings.
Manage Gage Calibration System software, to ensure that gage calibration records, studies and locations are current and compliant to all ISO/TS16949, customer specific and internal procedural requirements.
Work with Quality Engineering to coordinate gage R&R studies.
Work with Engineering to establish gage locations & help manage locations.
Calibrate gages and test equipment utilizing clearly defined work instructions.
Analyze calibration results and determine if measurement device is acceptable for use for product validation & layout of production.
Measurement devise troubleshooting, cleaning and maintenance.
Coordinate outside vendor calibration activities and maintain records.
Layout production gage fixtures to support new gage verification and annual calibrations.
Responsible for good housekeeping of work area and equipment.
May be given certain authority within job scope by Supervisor or Manager

Capable of providing support as requested by supervisor.
High school diploma or G.E.D.
Five or more years experience in quality control required. Certification in AIAG's Measurement Systems Analysis.
