Job Summary

Assistant Teacher will provide a safe and nurturing environment for children that encourage and supports social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development. The Assistant Teacher will assist classroom teacher in designing and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum according to the guidelines established by Creative Beginnings Child Development Center.

The Assistant Teacher will nurture positive relationships with parents, children, and colleagues. In addition, the Assistant Teacher will ensure safety and supervision of children at all times by meeting physical demands of the position.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

The Teacher Assistant shall have an overall understanding of child development and recommended practices and have experience in working with children.

Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No Preferred Education/Experience

Elementary Education and Healthcare majors preferred. Experience in childcare preferred.

VIEW JOBS 2/20/2021 12:00:00 AM 2021-05-21T00:00 Job Summary Student tutors will be hired via the UK Federal Work-Study program to offer virtual one-on-one tutoring services to K-12 student s that are children of UK employees. Tutors will be matched with children based on subject-tutor matches. Tutors will create Zoom or MS Teams meeting links for the tutoring sessions. Tutors will be responsible for maintaining and submitting records of tutoring hours. Tutors may work 10-30 hours a week based on their availability. A screening interview and a standard background check will be completed for all applicants before they are referred to parents. Referrals are made as requested by the UK employees. All majors are welcome to apply. Previous tutoring experience is helpful, but not required.
