Duties
The Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) provides operations support services and business solutions to the community of 10,000 House Members, Officers and staff. The CAO organization comprises more than 650 technical and administrative staff working in a variety of areas, including information technology, finance, budget management, human resources, payroll, child care, food and vending, procurement, logistics and administrative counsel.
The incumbent is responsible for supporting the Director, Manager, and Operations Manager with the daily furniture installation and repair services for the Office Design & Move Services (ODMS) directorate and promoting effective project oversight for the U.S. House of Representative (House), Office of Logistics and Support. Major duties include but are not limited to providing furniture installation services to include reconfigurations, repairs, inventory and storage management of the various casegoods and systems furniture throughout the House campus. Incumbent assist with project coordination, customer service and outreach, and workforce planning and development. Other duties or special projects as assigned. The position does not have day-to-day supervisory/managerial responsibilities.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
Furniture Installations
Serve as a furniture subject matter expert and provides installation services and repairs on the various
casegoods and systems furniture. Assists with leading modular furniture installation projects, provides
office redesign analysis to ensure office furniture rearrangements and reconfigurations are performed
effectively.
Performs office visits and consults with customer, project specialists, and designer to ensure renovation
requests result in successful outcomes to stakeholders and customers. Activities include but are not
limited to managing, tracking and completing the assigned day-to-day operational activities.
Plan, schedule, and process requests for ODMS project related activities and track and monitor the
progress to ensure activities are on target according to schedule and resources.
Provides the day to day repairs of systems and casegood furniture to ensure quality and sustainment of
office furniture.
Oversee and monitor ODMS installation projects are completed in compliance with floor plan layouts,
carpet and drape selections, and the transfer of phones, computers, furniture, and equipment.
Assist ODMS staff in furniture development plans by providing valuable input and project oversight to
ensure successful outcome.

Qualifications
HS Diploma and four years or more experience in job discipline related to the position. The candidates must have a thorough understanding of systems and case good furnishings.
Proven experience and training in systems and case good furniture dis-assembly, and re-assembly. This includes the understanding and the experience in using moving equipment and be able to perform duties with minimal supervision.
Ability to de-assemble and reassemble modular furniture (systems and case goods) from various parts.
Ability to read floor plans. Certification on Modular furniture products is preferred.
Must possess good organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written essential.
Collaborative working style with excellent interpersonal, consultative and presentation skills required.
Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in coordination with various teams within time constraints.
Experience working with Remedy Software preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Knowledge of the legislative environment, U.S. House of Representatives, and the operations thereof, preferred.
Must be able to manage highly confidential and sensitive information appropriately; and be able to secure and maintain Federal Government security clearances as deemed appropriate by senior management.
