The Furniture Repair Technician - Frame Builder role is integral to the customer experience and the operations of the warehouse. Duties include evaluating damaged merchandise and daily repairs of stock items, damaged product, and customer owned goods. They also will need to be adept at using a variety of hand and electrical tools as well as various paints, dyes, and chemicals. Experience in furniture repair, furniture assembly, upholstery, or other related training will be beneficial in this role. The right candidate will be committed to and exemplify the values of the organization, maintain a calm and professional demeanor in a fast-paced retail/warehouse environment. An extreme attention to detail and quality of work is crucial in this role.
Starting at $19/hour!
RESPONSIBILITIES
Reconstruct furniture, replace parts, and in some cases modify or rebuild missing parts.
Inspects items according to instructions and reports damaged goods to supervisor.
Comprehend all methods of repair for wood, upholstery, glass and assembly of RTA.
Performs routine maintenance procedures as instructed.
Maintain repair log and notify manager if item cannot be repaired.
Maintain work area - be sure all chemicals are labeled, place all dirty rags in proper containers, be familiar with hazard communication and MSDS.
Follows all safety rules

Capability to operate equipment needed to do job
Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team and communicate with all team members
Minimum of 6 months experience in furniture repair
Ability to perform physical activities such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling of materials
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
Ability to perform repetitive tasks, manual dexterity
Vision abilities required include close, distance and depth perception
Lifting of 100 pounds
Ability to walk long distance on hard surfaces
Ability to work under fluorescent lighting
Climate effected by outside conditions.
