We are looking for a Fundraising Coordinator in our Memorial Foundation Department at St. Jude Medical Center
Location: Fullerton, CA
Under the direction of the Director of Major Gifts, provides coordination for and support to the Major Gifts Program. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to performing duties and tasks related to all aspects of achieving the Major Gifts Program goals, including relationship management, prospect qualification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship/recognition, coordinating special mailings and donor meetings, and executing strategies designed to increase giving and the pipeline of Major Gift prospects. Collaborate with senior leadership of the Foundation and Medical Center to carry out strategic initiatives. Provide administrative support for variety of needs related to the daily operations of the Memorial Foundation. This position is required to work occasional weekends and evenings in support of carrying out the fundraising plans of the Foundation.
Computer proficient using the latest versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, as well as proficient in mail merging, email, and web searches.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including writing and proof reading skills.
Detail oriented and organized with the ability to multi-task independently, solve problems, take initiative, prioritize projects and work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
Must demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with community members, volunteers, hospital and Foundation administration and personnel, medical staff and the community.
Ability to speak effectively with groups and individuals.
Ability to organize and follow through consistently and effectively. Energetic and decisive; demonstrates ability to work independently and be accountable to deadlines in a fast paced environment.

Education: BS/BA or equivalent
Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in general office work or project management. Proficiency in use of database systems
