Partners Group's Structuring business unit is responsible for developing innovative investment structures for institutional and private investors globally. Structuring professionals regularly interact with the firm's client relationship management, investment and operations teams as well as with clients and external professionals. Representative projects may include, for example, the establishment of investment vehicles (limited partnerships and other investment funds), design and formation of bespoke investment structures, development, negotiation and implementation of customized separate accounts, conversion of client demand (including drafting of side letters), implementation of credit facilities, review of regulatory frameworks and participation in marketing meetings.

Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently manage complex structuring projects

  • Draft and/or review agreements, offering memoranda and documentation relating to investment structures (funds, mandates, financing solutions)

  • Design and implement innovative product and investment structures

  • Instruct and manage external legal advisors and other service providers

  • Research key considerations relevant to specific clients, products and jurisdictions

  • Support business development efforts and separate account negotiations with clients and their advisors, including business development efforts

What we expect

  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience in private markets, asset management or similar fields

  • Top academic credentials in law (J.D. or LL.M. required)

  • Self-motivated and proactive individual with strong desire to learn and succeed

  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and project & task management skills to manage multiple projects at any one time

  • Ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external parties

  • Proficiency in Spanish or German is a plus

Job Description: Role Overview ALPS offers a full-service partnership approach to a select group of clients (including mutual funds, closed-end funds, ETFs and alternative investment funds) who are all looking for truly customized service. We offer turn-key capabilities that anchor all of the diverse resources needed to run a full-service mutual fund complex. The Assistant Fund Controller will be part of the Fund Administration team and will assist in the administration services for a set group of clients. Responsibilities This includes but is not limited to: * Review annual and semi-annual reports, assist with audits, and provide support as necessary. Review and/or prepare supporting information and perform an initial review of SEC filings (e.g., N-SAR, N-CSR, N-Q, 24F-2, N-1A,) * Prepare and/or review Board reports and assist in the renewal of client's insurance policies. * Assist in the review of the annual operating expense budgets, review monthly expense payments, (including 12b-1 payments from the Funds) and monitor budgeted verses actual expenses. * Review fund expense ratios and make sure they are in line with the projected budget. Provide review of performance and other such calculations for funds. * Coordinate with internal teams, research issues, facilitate issue resolution, and help provide general assistance to client on accounting and reporting matters. * Assist and support the Fund Controller on administrative services related to each client (e.g., financial reporting, fund performance, expenses, compliance) and on any other projects as requested by the Fund Controller Qualifications * Bachelor's degree and 3 years of work-related experience, or Master's degree and 1 year of work-related experience, or 5 years equivalent work-related experience * Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management preferred * 5 years accounting or reporting experience in registered investment company industry highly preferred * CPA a plus * Excellent attention to detail and accuracy * Exceptional written and verbal communication skills * Strong multi-tasking skills * Computer experience (Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook) * Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment Location: Denver Colorado DST is an equal opportunity employer and values a diverse and inclusive workplace.
