iCapital is looking for an Associate to join its Fund Finance team with a focus on Private Equity Fund Accounting and Administration. This position will report to the Vice President and work closely with other team members, vendors, and the client on a variety of matters with responsibilities to include:

  • Maintain processes and procedures for servicing private equity feeder funds

  • Work closely with other team members to enhance and automate key operational processes, and to develop and enhance reporting, targeting both efficiency and scale

  • Provide the operational control over the third-party administrator and transfer agent which includes review and approval of all calculations, allocations of income and expense, journal entries, and communications to investors.

  • Provide vendor management of third-party fund administrators and other service providers, such as auditors, print and mailing vendors, and bank custodians

  • Follow and adhere to procedures for all processes performed within Fund Finance including quarterly review of financial statement packages, capital call and distribution calculations, and communications to the client and investors

  • Monitor fund cash positions and reconciliations, manage cash reserves and escalate variances when appropriate

  • Aid in the preparation of the annual financial statement process when needed

  • Facilitate ad-hoc requests from various teams within the organization including Fund data requests, investor requests, and client requests

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting

  • 5+ years of financial services or asset management accounting and operations experience, a focus on Alternative Investments Fund Administration and Operations a plus.

  • Passion for the application of innovative technology

  • Proven ability to multi-task and work both independently and as a team player in a fast-paced, demanding environment

  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • High level of integrity

  • Willingness to learn new topics and work in an evolving business environment

The IT Finance Lead will report to the Global IT Controller and will lead a team of finance professionals to support all financial planning and analysis activities for IT. This role will have overall management leadership and responsibility for the development of the planning/analysis framework and will work closely with the senior leadership team to drive operational excellence. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Work with the Global IT Controller and the Senior IT Leadership Team in supporting the CIO to develop strategic, operational and financial objectives and implementation plans. * Work closely with Senior IT Leadership Team to develop and maintain an efficient forecasting and planning process. * Develop, implement and monitor the annual IT planning process, and the reforecasting cycles. * Review and challenge of financial inputs received from IT Divisions such as financial forecasts & planning assumptions, where applicable. * Drive cost optimization initiatives to deliver P&L savings to AXIS * Enhance consumption based modelling and chargebacks * Develop a dynamic 2 yr rolling forecast model for both Cash & GAAP expenditures * Co-ordinate the planning & analysis for all discretionary projects with IT leaders (e.g cost benefit analysis) and ensure GAAP principles are applied * Manage the analysis and monitoring of AXIS's G&A expenses, including expense details and analysis for Opportunities & Risks. * Oversee the monthly production of reports and output information to support the business in the understanding and development of the plans throughout the process. * Develop and enhance management reporting capabilities utilizing existing toolsets * Provide financial support to key CIO transformational activities and strategic opportunities. KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: * Minimum of 10 years' experience in (re)insurance industry planning and analysis. * Undergraduate degree required; advanced degree in accounting or MBA considered a plus; with significant experience in progressively responsible (re)insurance accounting, budgeting, planning and financial planning and analysis experience. * Experience in all aspects of (re)insurance forecasting and accounting. * Direct experience working on large projects with capital investments * Experience of reporting and finance systems including Oracle, Hyperion, Tableau, Anaplan and data warehouse technology. * Experience with outsourced vendor relationships and influencing in a matrixed environment KEY PERSONAL SKILLS REQUIRED: * Entrepreneurial / builder mindset.
