PURPOSE

Assists fund control customers and processing of their fund requests as needed, by performing the following duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

File, scan and index

customer documents.

Type documents, vouchers,

agreements, letters and memos.

Qualify customer vouchers,

check for proper completion and funds availability.

Process fund requests and

receive deposits.

Assist customers and sign

checks as needed.

Study and become familiar

with Mechanics Lien Law.

Perform basic data entry procedures.

Answer phones.

Set up new accounts.

Help with promotions and

setting up promotional material.

Ability to assist customers

with online account information.

Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury

to self or co- workers; attends periodic safety

meetings as required; may recommend changes to improve safety procedures.

Other duties may be assigned.

COMPETENCIES

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common technical journals, financial reports, legal document with the ability to collect data,

establish facts and draw conclusions.

  • Strong people skills with the ability to respond to common inquiries

or complaints from customers,

regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

  • Ability to write letters and memos that conform to a prescribed style

and format.

  • Ability to populate spreadsheets.

  • Strong computer and math skills with the ability to

work with mathematical concepts such as percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations typically encountered in construction and business.

  • Good work ethic.

  • Ability to multi task.

  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude in dealing with

customer problems. Structured communication skills needed to provide highest

level of customer service.

  • Good computer skills, understanding of Word and Excel

  • Minimum typing of 55 wpm

  • Ten key by touch

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Associate's Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two year college or technical school; or two (2) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Registered with the California Department of Corporations. Must be able to meet FBI background check in order to register and be bonded by Escrow Agents Fidelity Corporation. Can not have committed a felony and some misdemeanors, good credit history, etc.

SUMMARY OF POSITION: This position is responsible for maintaining and participating in the Accounts Receivable functions of the District Credit Office of Sherwin-Williams paint store customers. It will also obtain credit reporting agency information, maintenance of customer credit documentation filing and report distribution to store locations. This role will also respond to all incoming telephone calls and properly direct messages, handle telephone balance inquiry from stores and other related accounts receivable phone inquiries as needed. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: * Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status. * Must be able to operate a computer and communicate via the telephone. * Must be at least 18 years of age. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: * High School diploma or comparable certification (e.g. GED). PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Prefer experience in Credit, Accounting or Customer Service experience. * Prefer some college courses in Business or Accounting. * Personal computer experience desirable as this position will enter customer account credit information into the computerized accounts receivable database. * Excellent customer service skills. * Ability to effectively interact with management staff as well as Credit reporting agencies, banks, and various other financial institutions.
